It wouldn't be a good look when they are still trying to add to their portfolio. They were negotiating with Kaiserslautern a couple of months ago.
I don’t think anyones got an issue with fans protesting though but its only reasonable to know what alternative you are protesting to achieve.
Blame them for what? I'm not say admin won't happen, but I can't for one second imagine that the owners would trigger that willingly, it just doesn't make any financial sense. The only way these owners are leaving is when the club is worth a lot more than they bought it for and someone else is willing to pay it.
I can’t believe people are having a serious discussion and debate about it. It’s the most obvious wind up that may also turn into a scam I’ve ever seen. There’s nothing remotely legitimate about it in the slightest.
Exactly, let’s pretend for one second that they are legitimate (I can’t even type that with a straight face) then why on earth would anyone support them? Why would we want anyone like that running our club? Imagine it Conway at el. had set up a Facebook group called ‘Cryne’s Out’ and started blocking anyone who asked them questions before they bought us. I’m sure everyone would have loved that.
Dunno if it's a wind up or scam. I certainly hope not at least. Probably more a combination of angry, frustrated, disillusioned fans. Possibly slightly deluded at what it would actually take to launch a serious campaign. Alarm bells would definitely start ringing though, if they started crowdfunding...but haven't seen that yet.
They don't succeed in making a profit on every player they buy and the same will apply to the football clubs they buy as well. They'll settle for getting most of their money back and that won't be possible if they leave it too long and we are stuck in the lower divisions.
Gally and loko, I have started a private conversation with you about this thread. If I haven't succeeded, not done it before, could one of you send me a message to respond with some important information, thanks.
I agree, however it does seem we're now just becoming part of a portfolio. Like any portfolio, there might come a time where they're prepared to take a hit on part of it, to avoid further losses. In football club terms, that might equate to us being in the $hit and them deciding to cut their losses. As it stands, that feels as likely as someone coming in and matching their inflated value on a buyout. I don't think that goes as far as admin. But it might take us to L1/L2. I have a sinking feeling things will get worse before they start to get better.
As I understand it , the group is a way to move to organised protests rather than a load of fans just moaning on. I don't think it's been set up by some one wanting to buy the club, that to me is a bit of a red herring. Now as I see it there are 3 options, carry on as we are either because you think our owners are ok or because you'll put money into BFC no matter what, vote with your feet and stop going or organise protests to show that you're unhappy with the running of the club. and want a change in ownership. Me personally, would rather not be paying money like Derby and Wigan fans were to keep the club running after admin. I'd rather do something before we reach that stage that hopefully means it would more be like the Hull situation.
Looks to be available to read again GROUP STATEMENT RE "NEW OWNERSHIP" There have been a few people on here questioning the identity of the possible bidder and being sceptical about the existence of such a person. As is the case in most Merger and Acquisition situations deals are done behind closed doors and the identity of the new owner is typically revealed when the deal is completed. This is especially true in a private transaction as is the case of BFC. Going public at this stage could have implications on price and the expected timing of the transaction. We understand scepticism at the moment but as and when information can be shared that does not jeopardise a transaction we will share this with the group. If you could also share this with anyone anxious, concerned, or confused about the various theories that's been unfairly claimed about this page and the people behind it including myself then that would be appreciated highly. I personally wouldn't be involved and put my reputation on the line if I felt my integrity or Tykes TV as a media platform alongside Neil Ellis would come into question, if I felt it wasn't correct or ingenuine I would never have associated or sacrificed my personal time. I know others of the group feel the same having conversed with these. If you could please exercise some patience, and know things are going on behind the scenes in terms of an alternative vision and plans been set in motion to bring about a new ownership at our club
There is currently no credible evidence that we are going to administration or that the owners would put us in to administration. There's definitely a financial challenge that comes with relegation, but you're willing to support a campaign run by questionable social media accounts with zero insight in to what their plans are. Being honest, I worry that if they put a request out for fund this week you would consider supporting them and I wouldn't want you to do that.
No need to worry about that but thanks anyway. I'm not explaining myself very well obviously and I suppose they point I'm trying to make is campaigns have to start somewhere, and maybe the time is now. What went off at Nice regarding the loan is a big worry, as is all this legal wrangling and the whole ground situation.
fair dos. I guess my obvious retort to that would be 'wouldn't it be wiser to launch the campaign once the alternative vision and plans are ready'?
So its getting dafter then. When someone fronting the Conway out group is seemingly pretending to be someone else..
