@Loko the Tyke @Gally Luke from the Conway out group is live on Facebook now, to be fair he seems a genuine lad, he’s also commented that he’s going to be contacting you 2 lads in the next few days to explain a few things, he didn’t go into details though.
If I’m not working away I wouldn’t mind going, I’m curious what they’ve got to say, I’ll drop you a text mate,
Tbh, he does seem genuine. Not once in the whole group has he questioned anyone's beliefs, wishes etc. Seems to be sticking his neck on the block genuinely, so I'm not gunna dismiss it. Openly states he rather have everyone on the same page, discouraging infighting and arguing and not to be personal with each other. Fairs fair from his stand point....
I seem to be the only one that isn't surprised it's " amateurish" only just been set up, yet to have a proper meeting. You yourself must know with the supporters trust things don't just happen over night. It may well fizzle out to nothing but I'm prepared to cut some slack for those who are prepared to put their head above the parapet for what they believe the club should be.
I mentioned in another post that he does come across very well on Tykes Tv. Very measured, considerate and speaks the truth, and Barnsley through and through. If he'd been in charge from the beginning I reckon things would look very different for them now, in a good way. I don't see it being salvageable in it's current guise though.
Luke does seem.like a very genuine lad however i feel this "Martin Nettleton" fake profile business has done the group a lot of damage. I notice a number of members have left the group in the last 24 hours
I used to work for Euroglaze when i left school, and Martin Nettleton's dad Alan started that company.
Complete amateur hour stuff. If you've got genuine intentions to buy The Club, you don't start a Facebook group and start kicking people out because they've asked a few questions. You make an approach directly to the current owners. It's not like buying a car or a second hand dishwasher. I'm as anti Conway as anyone, but this is a complete waste of time - as well as possibly ruining a few reputations with dodgy names etc. Poor.
I reckon the mystery investors are local businessman that have been contacted by someone at the club to run the club as a consortium. I still reckon there is real backing by someone extremely credible for someone like Luke Goddard to stick his neck on the block.
You think there's a coup from within the club? Blimey, that's some leap mate. If that was the case, with so much risk on the line, do you really think they would surface that through a Facebook group? Surely if it was some inside job, they would keep a billion miles away from Facebook, of all things? Not a dig at all mate, just feels extremely unlikely any inside job would take this route.
Somebody inside the club might want to instigate more unrest though. Haven't these people been using false identities?
I guess it's possible, but without any evidence that's verging on conspiracy theory for me. again, not a dig at you. but if by some chance there was truth in it, I would be massively disappointed. not the way I would expect anyone at the Club with integrity to go about things.
