Weird that they've not shown an example of them on their group, as they're so proud of them. I'm probably being a bit cynical but unless I see something concrete from that group I'll always take anything they say with a large pinch of salt.
Desperate times when were pinning our hopes to get rid of these clowns on a facebook group with 1300 followers, the owner of tykes tv and a mystery investor.
Prime example of how much of a car crash the last 48 hours have been. What I meant was it wouldn’t surprise me if the person behind the Martin Nettleton account was in the group already, with their real life, hey I’m an actual person with my name and photos, account.
As I hinted at earlier, there's a sad part of me that expects the leaflet creator / potential buyer to be a Wednesday fan, and when Luke opens the delivery he is going to find 5000 Chansiri Taxi flyers. And a gloating Pig gets his day in the sun
I've just thought it over again. These people with clout wouldn't be scuttling about in the bike sheds making rude noises. They'd approach the club directly and make a bid. They've no reason to involve the fans at all.
Unless there is no real plan, all trust is placed in an elusive investor who no-one seems to know, and a decision is made to conduct all business on the deplorable Facey
Exactly. I mean we can sit here moaning week in week out sitting on our arses. At least it's something which is better than nothing
The £750k aside, aren’t we really just guilty of making poorer decisions than our competitors this season? I understand all the frustrations with the ground, matchday, etc. but it feels like the biggest gripe from the playing side is recruitment. We know we’ve had COVID to deal with, like all teams, and we know we’ve got a unique ownership model in terms of the ground. Shouldn’t the ‘starting somewhere’ be about getting more transparency from PMG, the council, and the Cryne family? Before we blindly follow a Facebook group and march upon Oakwell? We really don’t have all the information yet on our own position and issues to be 100% clear on what the action needs to be. I’m sceptical of the council’s role in this, and as much as I’ve got masses of respect from the Cryne family, and understand their silence due to legal proceedings, they don’t need to be this quiet when so much is up in the air. Once you’ve started that and truly got an accurate picture, then you can come together as a fan base and take action (if needed). It feels a bit rushed and chaotic. We also need to be dealing in fact and not rumours.
