Just as a reminder. We are talking about fans social media for football. It aint that important. It aint about life, death, family, etc. there much more to worry about in life.
In what way is it a con though? It might be, but in 4 hours I've not had any significant response from the hoax callers confirming it's a hoax. Both sides of this quibble seem to be as questionable as the other. What's wrong with digging for the truth? Or at least everyone's version of it.
I prefer to call them the 80%ers for the same reason. Paul Conway and Grace Hung are the only two in the consortium who belong to the Pacific Media Group. It's a similar story with the rest of the portfolio. There's a variety of individuals involved and the composition is different in each of the projects.
I'm not getting at anyone. Simply trying to nail it all down. I haven't said ( I think) that you called it a hoax. There are plenty out here who don't know what to think. Big Chief Admin on here has called it a hoax. I joined Conway Out just to see what was going on and it's a mess of a site (I can't make sense of how Facebook is set out tbh, nor do I want to) But I hope we aim for a bit of truth on here.
I think I assumed that when you made your first post on the subject that I've quoted below (and then repeatedly called for a reply from me and Gally in another 4/5 posts after) that there was definitely a suggestion, without maybe typing the words, that we were the people you were referring to. Or some of the people you were referring to. Gally has obviously quite overtly called it a hoax and there's no getting away from that. I've only ever repeated what's happened in the last 48 hours, challenged whether that would be the way a takeover would be handled, and said that it's perfectly normal and acceptable that supporters want more info before just blindly signing up to the campaign.
It's a fair comment is this on PMG. Honestly, I think it started being used because it's an easy thing to type, people get who you're talking about, and it splits them from the Cryne's instead of always saying 'the ownership group' or 'the board'. But as people have been saying it isn't actually fully accurate - although used by the media in most stories about other football clubs in the network.
From what I can gather the bloke with the fake Facebook profile reacted badly to Ben and Paul trying to clarify a few things and kicked them off. Then it came out he had a fake profile and Paul started this thread and then Luke G from Tykes TV said this wasn't the way the group should be conducting themselves and offered an olive branch. Stay tuned for the next installment.
I've never said it's a hoax. Would't that put me in the camp that my posts clearly show me in? I'm concerned around credibility based on what we've seen, how it's been handled, and what we know. The latter being that we know absolutely nothing.
Why are they involved , isn’t their Platform Tykes TV , why don’t they use that to get across their message , I’m confused why they would compromise Tykes TV credibility with involvement in a poor Facebook site
Whilst down there if you could turn your hand to parting the blue wall so our forwards can pass, it would be helpful.
I know Gegenpresser is concerningly obsessed with Gally's chosen word to describe the group when we can all see what he meant was that it's all a bit dodgy. And that's an understatement to be honest.
I assume because they want to move on from ranting on YouTube to a more co ordinated protest. There's only so many times you can say the same things, at some point you have to either put up or shut up and I suppose to them the time has come.
