I've been watching the Reds for 60 years, albeit the first few I had little knowledge of the game, I just enjoyed the experience of being with my dad, grandad and uncle Wilf on a matchday. I felt their passion for their local side and that will remain within me forever, I still feel that love and passion. I was fortunate enough to see Johnny Evans and Barry Thomas drag us from re election to promotion and then the halcyon days of Clarke, Hunter and Bobby Collins ending with the glorious promotion under Danny Wilson, standing on the hallowed turf, crying with joy and tinged with sadness that my mentors never lived to see us in the promised land. 25 years on we nearly managed the impossible, returning to the top flight by out fighting, outplaying teams living way beyond their means. Fast forward 7 months and I'm sat watching a team devoid of all heart, fight, spirit everything we reds fans ask for being taken apart by average sides in an average league without so much as a whimper.
I don't blame the players, they need some help and reinforcements, I don't particularly blame the coach as he's boxing with his hands tied behind his back, I totally blame the bunch of charlatans running the club.
I don't want us to go down the same route as Derby Wednesday etc but surely a modicum of investment would have stabilised us this season even though we lost the entire back room staff. In any form of business there has to be some investment to keep things progressing and if they are as wealthy as they are supposed to be they must realise this. If not how did they make billions in the first place?
I am really sad to post this but I really can't see me renewing my season ticket next season whilst they are in charge. In the words of our song
"You are my Barnsley, my only Barnsley, you make me happy when skies are grey, you'll never know now how much I love you, please don't take my Barnsley away "
Mr Conway Chien Lee etc Al you have done just that!!!

But they made investments, very bad ones.

I feel the same. I'm not buying a season ticket next year if the current owners are running the club. My Dad &my Great Grandad were hugely connected with the club, but this isn't BFC anymore as I see it. Not sure what it is TBH. Sh!tshow FC?

@Cowboy That is desperately sad. We will get our club back.
