I’ve had to read that several times.

    I mean…. Just…. What?

One of the few things we’ve got out of Asbaghi is that we’re light in midfield, and the cunning plan is to convert a midfielder into a defender?

    Just enough. Stop this insanity.

This coupled with the Herbie Kane decision is so bad its hysterical.

Wonder how Hondermarck feels about this?

Mind boggles. We've got two good midfielders who could probably improve the team but we take a few quid to keep one of them out on loan, and the other we're actively training up to be something he's not.

Fu ck off. Just fu ck off.

One of the ladybird books I had as a child that I haven't seen for over 40 years, a treasure from the past, with swearing all over it.

I've just had an emotional break down.

In desperate need for CM reinforcements and we turn our CM into a defender and don't play him. Only Barnsley.

As if this wasn't insane enough on the surface, if "Wolfie was the player we chose" that means we shipped out two central midfielders on loan the summer during which we lost our best one, following a season in which that was our weakest position.

...all while planning to switch to a system in which the midfield are much more important. Feels like this calls for a galaxy brain meme.

Meanwhile McGeehan, the type of midfielder we are crying (ie one who can actually put a tackle in), out for is now a favourite at one of their other clubs, and Sibbick is cast adrift. Clueless.

I think its obvious that they are planning to sell at least 2 of Mads/Kitching/Helik and so need a cheap (free) replacement ready for next season.
Makes perfect sense from a business point of view
Its absolute bo**ocks from a footballing stand point

That ought to bring out a rousing chorus on Saturday of "You don't know what you're doing"

You watch Palmer for their third goal. I’ve watched him closely since last season.. He was carried by Mowatt, and was a shirker - always went where the ball wasn’t or wouldn’t be. Last night that third goal epitomised his performances. Complete sham of a performance from him, no effort or desire whatsoever. Absolutely baffling why he gets in before anybody, but the fact he’s picked before Hondermarck is astounding. He should have gone early on, for his blatant dive near our area after he’d been booked.

Completely forgot we still had him under contract. He's not exactly prime Socrates, but I'd have him in front of the two children currently in the side.

I only saw the first 12 minutes and the last 18 or so. I thought we looked quite bright in the first period, but again, the defence was very exposed.

The last part I saw was really poor. Gomes was quite energetic and kept going, but we looked out of ideas and looked defeated.

But I concur with what you say about Palmer. There was a point we had a throw in. He was near to receive the ball, turned his back, jogged further away and stood with 3 Forest players around him. It was a truly bizarre choice to make when he could have quickly received the ball unmarked, tapped it back and built an attack towards the final third. He was either purposefully hiding, or he was unable to process the situation and think correctly for such a basic obvious decision.

Drives me mad, whenever I've seen him he's been our outstanding player. Can't remember who it was against, but he came on as a sub and changed the game. Can't get a look in while Moon starts. I feel for Moon like, not knocking him personally, but in the situation we're in, we shouldn't be starting him.
