Do any of the other clubs even have any players that are any good? By the looks of it, all the clubs they own are $hite
sorry mucker, not seen that site. I hope it's correct but hope we do not get another Cowboy outfit like the present incumbents.
Going abroad again we will find someone and then there will be visa problems. Be a lot simpler to sign someone already here. Plus there are plenty of free agents who have got to be worth a punt considering what we have. Anyway another Thursday nearly over and pen is still not out, it must be stuck behind Conway's ear
The incoming player will have one leg (cheap) or be 3 feet tall (cheap) or blind in one eye (cheap) or 12 years old (cheap) or will have a bad back (not cheap but unplayable). Watch this space.....
I'm struggling to work out what the purpose of such a loan signing would be, unless it comes with an option to purchase the player at the end of the season. If it's a short-term signing intended to save our season and avoid relegation, then it needed to have happened a month ago, albeit we haven't really missed out on many fixtures due to all the postponements. The survival chances when the window opened were slim to none, and they haven't improved in the meantime. If it's a signing with a view to them contributing next season, then a loan makes absolutely no sense without an option to buy. If it's a straight loan deal with no option to buy, then it's directly contradicting their own stated transfer policy of avoiding loan signings, and the only logical reason I can think of for doing so is that they can't afford the alternative. The fact that the one position we're seemingly looking to strengthen is the one where we signed 3 players in the summer transfer window, whilst seemingly still doing nothing to address the glaring midfield issues (including rejecting an option to bring our own midfield player back into the squad) smacks of desperation to be seen to do 'something', regardless of whether it's an effective piece of business at this stage.
We may have signed some attacking players in the summer but to be fair, we’ve let Frieser go, Woodrow is out injured (possibly for the season) and Oulare could go too. Even if he doesn’t, he’s never starting a game for us. We do look short up front now I’d say (I’d say short most places the pitch but that’s besides the point I guess). A loan striker didn’t do too badly last season either.
