To have not brought in any players yet is negligent. Add in not recalling Kane letting Williams go when we've got no players available and it's even worse. Can they rescue any chance of survival by bringing a couple of players in? Does anyone think they're actually working on some signings, or have they already given up?
I must admit, I hadn't realised the end of the transfer window was so close and that it closes on Monday. This window hasn't gone anything like I expected. I thought there were one of two likely scenarios. If the club genuinely thought they could clamber out of this, one or two sales and trying to bring in a few players to freshen things up. Or if they thought our chances unlikely, to try and maximise a few fees while we could still consider all of our players championship ones. Yet we're doing neither. Neither having a go or cutting our cloth sensibly. To get to the end of the window without any activity would be mind boggling.
Resigned to no one coming in and have been for a couple of weeks. I think the key to signing anyone was selling Woodrow and then he got injured. The Khaled interview was what I expected it to be and now he'll disappear until ST renewal time in March. Everyone at the club has given up. Owners, management, players and fans.....
I can't imagine our owners have given up on this season but not even the most optimistic of optimists could see us staying up after the season we have had so far. League 1 here we come.
It’s just really disheartening seeing nothing happening, especially when you see clubs like Blackpool strengthening their squads… Good signing for them, I rated this kid when he was at Crewe and thought he was someone we should’ve looked at.
I guess it will save on legal fees in the long run if we don't sell anybody. Given the timing of the MacDonald case, Preston must be due a payment for Potts soon...
Most clubs aren't in absolute $hitstate like ours tho. But I think as someone mentioned in the thread, we were relying on outgoings, which could still happen yet
Wasn’t me bashing Blackpool or making them out to be smaller than us. I’m just saying on paper they’ve probably a smaller transfer and wage budget than us yet they’re still managing to bring in players whilst we are doing fk all.
This is the pathetic part of this - other teams with similar budgets, lower attendances etc still manage to bring in players. We won’t. Sack the board.
If we go down or go under it's no skin off Conway and companies moses. They just aren't interested they have plenty of other clubs. They are an absolute disgrace
