Barnsley FC Chief Executive Officer, Khaled El-Ahmad, said: “It is difficult to establish a regular place in the team with such competition in the central defensive position at Oakwell. They haven't a fùcking clue.
Without worth? In what aspect, not to me. Nothing finer than a trip to Oakwell on a Saturday afternoon even when we are not so good. Can't beat a debate in the pub afterwards about how good/bad/**** we were. Attending games has nothing to do with who owns what to me personally its about supporting my beloved home town team through thick or thin. Am I deluded, maybe. But watching the reds at Oakwell is and always will be an important part of my social life. UP THE REDS!
Good luck Toby. Personally I don't think he's a championship standard player but he should be OK in the Scottish Premiership
That’s a great post. We all have different views at the moment but the one thing we all do is love this football club. In these times recognising different views is vitally important. We are all reds.
Excellent and throught-provoking post. I've felt exactly the same for a total of 55 years. But today I feel nothing. Nothing at all. I've had 55 years worth of love, worship and emotion dragged out of me and thrown away. It's gone, hopefully not forever, but for the foreseeable future, it's gone. I've found other things to do on match days.
Around 250 300 k the fee will be. Someone from hearts who seems to know how stuff said its nowhere near 500 600k as they won't spend that after to splashing out previous years.
One thing I've only just spotted, is that there's no reference to any sell-on clause in the deal. Sibbick is undoubtedly talented, as we saw last season, and has played for us (with varying success) in three different roles as a centre back, right back and in central midfield. He still has a chance, in the right environment, to significantly appreciate in value so not having any potential to benefit from this looks somewhat short-sighted from BFC's perspective. It's possible that a clause is in there, but it seems odd for the club to miss an opportunity to tell us they've retained an interest in someone's future, if so.
Or maybe they’ve maximised how much money they can get in now by foregoing a sell-on, in the knowledge they’re unlikely to benefit themselves from a sell on in a couple of years as they’ll have ****** off and left us in the ****…
That reads to me (imho) as... You have fallen out with someone (staff) at the club. We have been offered money...we are desperate. You earn more than Moon & Kitchen... Net result we are cashing in. Note......not a football decision.
41 goals conceded in 21 games, in a season where the goalkeeper has been the best player by a distance = "such competition in the central defensive position at Oakwell"
I am not sure Khaleds first language is English so he has probably no idea what the English words above actually mean? Just a thought.
Talking of which, has Collins signed yet for any other team that needs a good goalie cos there's no point staying here working for the muppets in the Directors box who don't appreciate his great talents.
