More credibility to this rumour here as well. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/19886259.outgoings-expected-watford-transfer-deadline-day/
Pedigree is definitely there and I know he's rated highly by Watford. Where is the attitude issue coming from?
there are some Watford fans on twitter saying he is talented but has a bad attitude etc. probably not the case but few of them about saying it
From the article - Fulham manager earlier this season : At that time, Fulham boss Marco Silva questioned the player's work rate and said that he needed to put in more of an effort in training in order to work his way back into the team, saying: “Domingos has to work harder to win back his place. He got his chance and that is clear by getting in the starting 11 against Leeds and Blackpool, and it was not just a matter of performance, but in the training sessions as well. He is fit, but was not in the squad the last game – a technical decision and it was mine.”
Seen some comment from Watford fans suggesting he’s believed his own hype. But whether that’s true or not I have no idea. But, from what I’ve read of him, suggests he’s an attacking midfielder, which given his age, the suggestions about his attitude and the likely signing of Bassi, means he doesn’t really match the profile of player I’d be looking to sign if I were in charge. Unless there’s ball winning and leadership qualities that he’s hiding.
Two attacking midfielders on loan. Not what we need is it. We need an experienced ball winning midfielder and a striker.
Completely agree on the ball winning midfielder part. But we are criminally lacking in these areas too under Poya's system, so while it's frustrating we haven't focused on the middle of the park there's still a positive that recruits are coming in. I hate stories about sulking players though. Thanks to all who shared that above.
We do need some craft and creativity in midfield, but we also need a ball winner. If you had to pick a defensive midfielder and two attacking central midfielders out of our current options, what have we got? Gomes, Palmer and Benson? Wolfe, Hondermarck and Marsh?
I don't know if the lad can deliver on a regular basis, but defensive midfield was exactly the role that Matty Wolfe played on Saturday. He won several headers, made numerous tackles and made a big difference to the midfield that's been on display by BFC this season. He also made a few forward runs, beating players, but the defensive side of his play was what we have been missing. I hope he continues to start, and repeats his form against Bournemouth on a regular basis.
