The captain of the club's woman's team has quit along with some female back room staff also walked.
They say it's a Football decision. It will be when they sign someone with 17 goals in 25 games this season.
I can see why they have called it a Football decision because his scoring record might just get them promoted. But they will find out it wasn't worth the bother once they struggle to find sponsors wanting to be associated with a club that employs him.
Strange one this. Think he's in his early 30s so it's probably his last 'decent' contract. I fail to see how a termination would work. His chances of getting another club would be unlikely (China etc an option) so what if he just sat it out and did a 'Rodwell' ........ he can't be surely sacked. On what could his contract be cancelled without his agreement. He's been punished for his crime. A shocking thing to be found guilty of so I'm totally unsure of how this may play out.
