In all fairness, not many coaches would win a huge amount of games with the level our midfield has been at this season. That's what he's had to deal with since he's been here. I can't say I'm a fan at the moment, but I think that he at least deserves some time with these two new guys in. We looked better last night and were certainly the better team, we had our main two strikers off the pitch for most of the game (and Morris only got a few minutes at the end). It's a sorry state of affairs and I'm sure we aren't having a miracle escape this time around, but I think it's clear that the toll of these last few months have taken a toll on some of our better players. Helik, Anderson & Styles in particular.
But is that the truth or is that Callum Brittain & any of the other players (don’t know if others have said it) covering for their own shortcomings? You hear players saying ‘the trainings improved’ ‘there’s a better atmosphere’ etc loads once a managers gone. But normally when the managers the problem you get a positive reaction from the players which we haven’t seen.
If I could walk in the dressing room at half time I would love to say this. I don't think this would be Poya's style which I think we need at the moment.
