Man City in the FA Cup when we lost 2-0 with David White scoring. Sold our allocation in a couple of days so asked a Man City fan at work if he could get tickets for three if us. He did but told us not to cheer if Barnsley scored. Chance would be a fine thing. However, it's one thing to keep quiet and another to celebrate when they score. We just sat on our hands and said nothing as the goals went.in so it was obvious we weren't City fans. We were getting dogs abuse from a couple of idiots with shouts of "f off yer Yorkshire puddings" "f off back to yer pits" . Needless to say, I was thankful that they left a couple of minutes before the final whistle went.

Bramall Lane 2 each when our equaliser sent them down .
    I had a fiver bet for 2 2 .
When we equalised my joy at having my bet up alarmed one or two blades .
Was advised by the sterwards to return to the Malta suite , I obliged to have a middle aged woman banging on the window baying for blood.
    It was an interesting experience.

I had a Leeds fan sit behind me in the East Stand on the night we beat them 5-2. He threatened that he had a knife in his sock and he was going to stab us but we were too busy pissing ourselves at their defending to take him too seriously. He left after the 5th went in shouting obscenities.

I’ve done it a few times back in the late 70s early 80s. Believe it or not we used to take so many fans to away games it was often the easiest way to get into the game. I used to think I was some kind of hard man but in reality we barely spoke and felt on edge the whole time

Roker Park in mid 80's. Very boring 0-0.

Birmingham (2002?) but behind glass (the only time i've sat in a corporate box so didn't really count).
Bristol Rovers (2019) until about 5 minutes into the game before the steward unlocked the gate and ushered us through to the away end. It was fun in the clubhouse before the match when the locals detected mock-West Country accents :D

    Blackburn Rovers 1997/8.

My first ever away game I think. Got talking to a friendly Blackburn fan, didn't hide we were Barnsley. I was told to sit on my hands if we scored, and we did and I did, but Dad jumped up and cheered. Police kept a closer eye on us (or we were paranoid) after we'd scored, but absolutely no issue, but we were at the end of the stand to the left of the Barnsley fans where it was quiet.

Went with a mate and his work colleague who was a Sheff Utd fan to Sheff Utd and stood on their Kop in 1990's. Saville scored for us and we muttered "well f**ck me, jammy *******. Couldn't let a cheer out until we got back to the car. I believe the full match is on here somewhere in the archives

Liverpool in the Fa cup - God knows how I controlled myself when Howard scored!
Was hoping to get one as season ticket holder in our end but we all know how that went! Liverpool supporting friend of mine couldn't make it so offered me his ticket in the main stand!

At Elland Road once, Me and my brother sat in the main stand where the Tunnel is. Away fans were behind the goal. I remember Liverpool loanee David Johnson scoring, not too sure of the score, think we won 2-1. Mr brother was pulling me down as I jumped up to celebrate the goal. He said they were some clambering over seats trying to get to me, to be honest I didn’t give a damn at the time, but kept a very low profile as we made our way back to the car

We had a narrow escape that day, walking back to the station for the Spesh. We were identified en route and chased into an industrial estate which was a dead end. We hid in a doorway and luckily they didn't come far enough in to see us. We had gormlessly strolled out of the ground without noticing the rest of the train lot were being held back for an escort. The lads I was with were all mates from school and we went everywhere following The Reds. I lost touch with one of them and couldn't believe it when I bumped into him a couple of years ago wearing a Leeds shirt.

I’ve done it a few times, my favourite being Huddersfield away in the flicker season. I got chinned in the 75th minute as they scored, come the 97th minute the same guy who chinned me was hugging me.
