Weird that it’s showing blank and yet when I go to edit the thread it’s showing that the video is there.
I saw this earlier! I think they're in their worst ever league position. Bottom of Ligue 2, owners selling players and not spending any money. Sounds familiar!
Difference here though is probably the massive threat to their existence. They’re only seven seasons out of the Ligue One and on the verge of dropping in to what is effectively the football conference of France. For us, we don’t appear to be in that same position and are simply dropping to a division we’ve had to get out of three times in the last 15 years. That’s why the issues front and centre need to be the ownership rather then ‘the model’ - because other models have failed us in the past as well. Saying that, we did chant for Dennis to leave before promotion and for Cryne to leave before two trips to Wembley.
It is. We have people saying not a penny more but yesterday had a few chants towards our owners so they paid in to the pockets of those they want out, so went against the motto.
We aren't simply dropping a division though are we, we are on the verge of dropping a division with the lowest points total ever and suffering the worst season in our history. We currently have a head coach whose making the last head coaches 1 win in 20 matches (I think) look good the situation we find ourselves in now is of a far greater magnitude than the other relegations we've had.
It might be. I wouldn’t disagree. Just pointing out that there’s a lot more going on at Nancy than here. It’s not like for like comparisons. Some could argue that we’ve lost a hell of a lot of games by one goal and that minor improvements in recruitment would have seen us have a tough season anyway, but maybe not as bad with enough points to stay up. Plus the introduction of Academy players, a young team, some talent that is crying out for a bit of leadership. All things that can be fixed. I’m not sure what can be fixed at Nancy in one Summer.
@Loko the Tyke The xg championship table shows us with 12 points. I would argue that our points total does tally with our performances. In my own 45 years of watching us, this is incomparable with any season I’ve seen. Maybe we can bounce back but it is looking like a massive turnaround both on and off the pitch.
Again, I wouldn’t disagree. Just sharing an alternative view that some support to justify their opinion that we’re not about to drop out of the leagues. In recent games Collins hasn’t had to play like he did away at Stoke, for example. We’ve been much more competitive just criminally lacking in the final third. And when your offence is so lightweight the opposition grow in confidence and the pressure on your defence amplifies. Minor tweaks could have saved this season is my point. Nancy are on the verge of going from Ligue One to the abyss of French football in less than eight years.
All this chat of which camp you are in BBS or Facebook, with the name Nancy boys i’m going for the camp camp.
The only difference is that we have 2 more seasons to wait before we get to that level. The only reason we haven't sold players is because of covid and nobody outside the Premier league and clubs still receiving its money is spending.
