Over the years, I’ve been pretty good at looking at the lineup and knowing how we’ll play and who is playing where but recently, I’m looking at the team sheets and I have very little idea of how we’ll be lining up. When we first appointed him I was thinking that he’ll be here for league 1 next season but now I’m not 100% sure if he’ll even see out the season. If he does, I’d be amazed if there isn’t a Morais style clause.
That's where all concern should be, for theiving a living at Oakwell. On a positive note at least there would be a large percentage of renewals for season tickets next season. Give Neil a free reign.
Yes was there and was pissed off just like everyone. But it was more than 10 years ago, sometimes you have to move on.
He really cant be here for league one, the attacking play is awful we dont shoot when the shots on, when we get it on the wing and a chance to get a ball in early we cut it back and pass it abit more untill we lose possession and the opposition go on the counter.
Obviously taking the piss? His comments about 0 shots on target say everything about him get shut asap
Neil Warnock is being linked with Sunderland job which is far more plausible than him coming to Oakwell. Just paper talk I suspect in both cases
stick a 1-season pre-contract in front of him now, from May 8th. £500k, with a £500k promotion bonus. obviously absolutely zero chance of anything like that happening. but that's what I'd be doing.
Am sure Helik would’ve played if it were a league game or there wasn’t 5 subs allowed. Halme needs minutes to give an alternative to Moon or Kitching if we play a back 3. Helik hasn’t exactly covered himself in glory recently either.
Saw it on match of the day last night . As we scored we tried to walk back into the game the stewards said no,couldn't walk back in once you left. Would not open the gate. Can you believe it. There was contact but it was minimal. Second decision in a row to go against us.
Wouldn't have thought a rival paper would mention an exclusive unless they had their own information that it has some truth in it. Local journalists closer to home aren't rushing out a tweet rubbishing it either, as they usually do.
8 points from safety with Reading and Peterborough still to play at home, I'd love Warnock to give it a crack, he's exactly the type of man manager that we need to give the players a conference boost. Even if he could work alongside side Poya until the end of the season.
As a conspiracy theorist I think this could be a runner on the basis that there is too little time and too few matches for even Colin W to keep us up this season. Conway will then say, "look I listened to you lot and appointed Warnock and we still went down, so it's back to my cheapo PE teachers from European backwaters from now on" In all seriousness it would be good to do it even if unfathomably late. I don't think it need break the bank - I'm sure a large part of Colin's fee could be recouped via a DVD of his reactions during the first training session when he's getting 'acquainted' with the 'talents' of Palmer, Benson and Vic etc
As I've stated before Colin could get the wins against Peterborough, Derby and Reading. That makes up the deficit. Then we just have to match the results of the bottom 3.
