TBF. Most people will have had connections with people that they didn't know would become known as undesirables
We don't always know what goes on behind closed doors as they say.

I can’t confirm if this is true or not, but it was published in the independent newspaper in 2012, however if it isn’t then I will delete the post as I don’t want to be accused of bias.

I don't think for one second your bias but with Technology these days it's just me thinking that such a photo like that could be photoshopped. I very much doubt it though, they were 2 peas in a very long pod :(

Is that what the protestors/hecklers were actually having a go at Starmer over? I've only seen the video once and couldn't make out what they were on about. Awful tactic from Boris, obviously, but is that what they were on about? As I say, only seen it once and might have missed something

I agree 100% about this potentially being photoshopped, but this was published in the independent newspaper in 2012 according to this https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...riendship-with-margaret-thatcher-8432351.html

I am sure there are, and not a good look for any political party, but for the PM to make a false claim when the conservatives were also complicit in their support/admiration for Savile is nothing short of double standards

Isn’t any discussion of other politicians and Savile simply a distraction tactic? A ‘they’re all as bad’ shrug.

The PM repeated something he knew to be a LIE about the leader of the opposition resulting in a mob attacking him armed with a noose.

I'd worry more about how deep Saville was embedded in the Royal Family, never mind the Tories. There is plenty about it by David Icke on youtube.

Thatcher gave Saville a letter giving her permission for him to have open unfettered and worst of all unsupervised access to every ward in every NHS hospital in the UK she's the reason he was allowed to wonder round hospitals in the middle of the night abusing sleeping often unconscious children. There is a reason why many Tories warned Johnson not to say what he said and that reason is they don't want the can of worms that is Thatcher's friendship with Saville opening up to more scrutiny.

You surely don’t need to listen to a total nut job like Icke to know how deeply Savile was embedded in the establishment.

If only we could have predicted this given the lies and smears happily parroted by politicians and the media about the last LOTO…

I could here one saying ''why did you go after journalists Mr Starmer...why did you go after Julian Assange''...didn't strike me as typical ultra right stuff....I would have thought Tommy and his mates would think Julian Assange was probably a french dress designer....very strange.

    Here’s a thing.
    Anyone seen Priti Patel lately?

On the front bench during PMQ’s had to stop herself nodding agreement at Sir Keir, has been seen borderline face palming at the PM and the constant smirk has disappeared.

She’s clearly unavailable for media rounds too.

see also Therese Coffey (last seen hiding behind the speakers chair) who’s rumoured to have considered resignation at the weekend.

Anyway; how bad does it have to be for those two absolute moral vacuums to stop supporting you.

If Starmer, or anyone is attacked, or an attempted attack made in respect of Saville, surely it's as a direct result of that comment. This in itself is more reason for him to be removed from his position than any lie, action, or generally prickery he's told/done previously surely?

The surprising, no, amazing thing for me about Thatcher and the Royal family links with Saville was that the security agencies around them (MI5) apparently had no idea over several decades of time that Saville was doing what he did. Not even to the point of a quiet word in their ear when he was spending time at Chequers etc. Even Johnny Rotten knew.

Perhaps even more than that, is that after the event there was nothing mentioned about how it was allowed to happen.

To be honest I've little sympathy for starmer as he has little sympathy for others . Happy to sit back and have others suffer false smears because it suits him politically and if I'm being honest his record at the CPS is not great .

    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...n-prosecution-service-guidelines-8818201.html

Once a Tory , always a Tory . Blame the little guy for the ills of the country instead of the real culprits .
It's almost like everyone feeling sorry for Angela Stratton who resigned when she unwittingly revealed the downing Street parties .

In reality she's vile but because everyone is suffering Boris derangement syndrome suddenly these people are shown in an good light . We are supposed to feel sorry for them ......... bizarre .

It's absolutely nothing to do with feeling sorry for someone and everything to do with the scandalous behaviour of Johnson directly leading to someone being attacked in the street.
I see your Boris derangement comment is a straight cut and paste of your Fox News playbook to excuse Trump.
