Weird post of the day. I’ll go out on a limb to say absolutely no one in this board ‘felt sorry’ for Allegra Stratton.
I'm sure no one did but I'm getting the sense that people are feeling sorry for starmer when there's no good reason to . I'm merely highlighting that people like starmer lurk in the same " swamp " as Tory lackies such as Angela Stratton . Decent article on starmers time at the CPS . Never knew he hounded Julian assange the way he did . A completely innocent guy locked up in belmarsh prison without charge . No wonder he got the knighthood so young .
@bfc1001 id argue you’re twisting others position in order to create your own narrative. Why would we ‘feel sorry’ for Starmer? We’re not responsible for what happened. What happened last night has nothing to do with his record as leader of the Labour Party or how that came about. It’s simply a right wing mobs reaction to a dog whistle from the PM. To see it as anything else is just bonkers. The ‘but Corbyn’ from the left is as tiresome now as it was from the right for all those years.
You do realize that while starmer was leader of the CPS he appointed somebody to review the saville case who then proceeded to exonerate starmer of any wrong doing . I think they call that cronyism . If starmer is holding Johnson to account on the office of prime minister should not starmer be held to the same account regards his time as head of the CPS ? What do you think of his treatment of Julian assange ? What do you think of starmers treatment of benefit frauds ? Do you think they deserve 10 years ? Do you think starmer was right to appoint his own man to look into the whole saville case ? Johnson / starmer are just different cheeks of the same a**e . There's about as much chance of me sticking up for Johnson as there is starmer , which is very little . It's a shame there isn't the outrage in the media about an innocent man being held against his own will because he revealed war crimes as there is for starmer who lets be right , had a full police escort while he was being confronted .
Technology Minister Chris Philip told BBC Breakfast there was "no way you can reasonably make a link" between what the protesters said and the PM's previous remarks. Another name to add to the sycophants who inhabit Bozo the Clown's anus We have already had 2 MP's murdered by members of the public with a grudge, one Tory, one Labour. Bozo's carefully crafted insinuations were bound to stir up the anti-everything braindeads and it is a case of the Prime Minister of the UK deliberately whipping up mob violence against innocent people. Which did the trick and deflected attention from his other odious wrongdoings. "I will survive" he sang to his new communications officer That's all he cares about-surviving and clinging onto power, if there weren't a fair few police around last night someone else might not have survived. This piece of dog spew needs to be got rid of before he turns us into a totalitarian regime, and happy to sanction violence if it suits them. Like Russia and China Hi pathetic apologists and acolytes should hang their heads in shame
So; to be straight, what you’re saying is that because Starmer has done some things you disapprove of, you think what happened last night is acceptable. Fair enough, we’ll agree to disagree. I think what happened was unacceptable, and I think our PM is directly responsible for it. You are free to disagree
I'd say everything starmers done I disapprove . It's why I don't start pearl clutching every time his feelings might be hurt . Didn't realize there was a vote last night on benefits / pensions . Fuel bills going up £600 plus everything else with inflation set to hit 7% and over . Everyone only getting 3.1% rise . Open the news the next day and it's full of " Boris needs to apologize because starmer got hurt " . Why people fall for these distractions while the real news gets conveniently tucked away is beyond me . Dog whistle politics I think they call it .
Alternatively Jo Cox's sister seemed quite upset. Maybe she thinks it's just dog whistle politics too?
I think what meant is ‘it’s why I insist on creating my own false narrative, so I have a straw man to argue against’. No one ‘is pearl clutching, no one is particularly concerned about his feelings. I believe we’re concerned that the actual Prime Minister has dog whistled up a mob to do this. As for the pensions vote? I’ve got the mental capacity to discuss both of these issues, we can add in the tax cut for bankers too, owt you like
Do you actually believe that ? That if labour voted against then everybody would get nothing ? I just find it highly predictable that a vote like that passes and the next day it's more frothing at the mouth Boris nonsense . At this rate Boris will be going nowhere if crap like that passes without even a murmur .
It’s not a vote ‘against’. The government have a bill to raise pensions by 3%. If it doesn’t go through, there’s no rise. Yes it is that simple. If Labour genuinely believed they’d get some Tory backbench support, they ‘could’ suggest an amendment. But if not (and the govt have an 80 seat majority) there really is no point. That’s simply how Parliament works.
As an aside when I was a little kid I thought there was something weird and disturbing about Jimmy Saville. That was when I was totally naive and innocent. Amazing how grown up politicians of the day sucked up to him when even a little kid in Barnsley thought he was dodgy....
