It's difficult to take any of our complaints seriously when we're currently complaining about getting a free cup of tea.

Something tells me that folk would have been congratulating all involved for the nice gesture if we were sat in the play off places

Not necessarily - as I just explained. And I wasn’t downplaying their involvement at all. I was downplaying, or correcting, that they’d invested 50% in to the cost as if that was a bad thing on Barnsley’s part.

But if everyone had bought a drink they'd have made more money.

But not everyone buys a drink. What Luton did was great as they facilitated a free offer and very likely banked more money than they would have done normally.

Makes total business sense. As I explained in my reply to you. On a really low cost item. But the OP claims Luton paid 50% when they haven’t paid anything at all.

They’ll be selling meat and potato pies with meat in them soon if this trend continues!

What did everyone expect when a Chinese and American businessman with no connection to the area took control?

Did people actually believe we were going to be the next Manchester City? Did people actually think we were going to be the richest club in the UK ?

If you did, go on my Ebay site, I've got some magic beans for sale.

No watching us score an actual goal just before half time was the highlight - unfortunately it was all downhill from there

Well I bought a £4:50 cheeseburger to eat with my free cup of coffee - though had I known how poor it would be I would have bought one from the van outside the ground. Buying it at half time was a mistake as I am sure it had been sitting there since well before Kick off.
As it happens the free offer lost Luton a bit on me as I was always going to buy a burger or pie and would have bought a bovril as well
Ive no complaints about the offer - was less than impressed with the quality of the food but that pales into nothingness compared to our second half display

Praise to our own club who charge £2 at Oakwell for a warm drink when Luton charge 25% more at £2.50 :D

The letter says "Luton have generously offered to split the cost of the offer."

There's context behind that though Helen. Which I've tried to explain as someone who works in hospitality/food and drink. That also lines up with my £1.25 example in an earlier response.
