I'm sure many other people have covered this better than I can, but if it hits home to just one person it's worth it. Tomorrow I'll be taking 10 kids into West Stand to watch their first ever BFC match. They're a group, and those are the seats we've been assigned, it's not a choice. All of them are as excited as the day you and I first went to Oakwell, Giddy as kippers. As a season ticket holder having seen the last few weeks, I'm nervous. I want these kids to enjoy their first experience of BFC, but I worry they may end up with an experience that puts them off for life. If you're thinking of 'protesting' at Oakwell tomorrow, please just think about how you it, and how what you do would look to these kids. It needs doing, but please let's do it right.
Spot on mate. There's gunna be a couple of young'uns reading out team sheets too. I hope you and your party av' a good day. As an aside I hope the protestors are outside the ground.
Never too early to learn how to protest! Seriously, they'll love Toby Tyke and will no doubt have a great time.
What have they done wrong for you to inflict such a cruel and unusual punishment on em. Show some mercy.
I'll be protesting and I hope others do so in the right way. As much as I'm concerned about the yoyng rent a mob like against Bournmouth I'm concerned about none protesters chiming up as i forsee some arguing amongst fans. Someone challenges me singing ir holding posters up they'll get both barrells
Jeezus You’re going to a football match expecting to have a violent argument with fellow supporters of your own team. And you think it’s other people that are the problem. Disgraceful attitude.
It happened against Bournemouth with one or two singing Conway out so I can understand him expecting it.
The only times that I have ever protested were in 1984 when Thatcher was about to kick me out of my job and in 2016 when Farage, Johnson, and the rest of the snake oil salesmen were selling the people more self-harm than any other country has ever had. And I don't think this remotely comes into that category so I will not be protesting.
‘I’m going to behave in a loud and aggressive manner and if someone challenges me, I’ll give them both barrels’. Does that really look like grown up behaviour to you? Honestly? Cos it’s not how I was brought up, or how I brought up my kids. Fortunately; your assumptions are unlikely to be correct, I think anyone sensible enough not to be protesting is likely to not be daft enough to escalate the situation you’re creating.
Listen have you actually read what I put? I fully expect a few to get their cardigans in a knot and speak up if anyone dare speak up against the establishment ! You don’t know me but if you did you would know no ones tells me how I should act I am my own person, given some of the childish drivel spouted on here of late. That’s the trouble with a good few on here it’s my view or no view.
You seem to be looking for a fight. Being aggressive and insulting in your words. I fully expect you to get involved with trouble today because you are looking for it
