It's another example of the culture of "my needs are more important than those of anyone else and I'll do whatever I want" that is growing rapidly. Unfortunately.
It's truly depressing how many stupid, ignorant and downright selfish and self centred people there are in this country.
I cannot imagine anyone not being instantly cheered up by the sight of a guide dog. Wonderful creatures being unselfishly wonderful.
Saw that a couple of days ago. Wish I had been behind the selfish moron to explain to him just how badly he was behaving
I taught in London when I was younger and when I came back north was asked by the kids why I wasn’t staying. My reply was that if you dropped dead on the tube, people would step on you to catch their tube whereas we wouldn’t do that in yorkshire.
It may feel like that and ground may have been lost in some areas but I would say in reality things are better now than they have ever been. 20/30 years ago things like this would have been probably more common but not reported at all. The only way to lasting progress is education and that will take time and persistence.
Sad but true. My dad came down to help me pack up and being from Barnsley he spoke to every passer by and couldn’t understand why nobody responded. There is so little sense of community or kindness and it’s such a shame.
