..was excellent today. One big error but that was it. The rest of the time he was often the one who stepped forward to make the positive move. He was my MOTM, and I reckon he's getting better.
Thought he had his best game for ages and looks more comfortable playing in a back three as was previously shown at the start of last season.
He’s been impressing me for a few weeks now. His work rate has been immense. But my MoM is sadly everyone except Benson (I don’t like singling players out, but it’s hard to fault anyone today except him).
This. He's been superb for three or four games now with some superb covering over the top like Sibbick used to do last season. Surprised he got cut from the starting XI at Luton because of this. Today he didn't have to cover behind Kitching and Vita and just focused on his job as the one in the back three with permission to get forward and join in. Also got himself out of many tricky situations backed in to the corner and cleared the ball.
He was our worst player I agree but the need to single him out, especially as someone who “doesn’t like singling players out” is poor form. Why focus on a minor negative after a top performance?
Williams had a decent game today. Well done to the lad, but he’s has been as shocking as the others previously. Let’s not re-write history just yet. Sue Gray hasn’t even published her report yet.
I'm a big fan of Jordan's. A switch in position definitely benefitted him today, he was able to focus on his defensive duties, which has often let him down at times this season. For me he was 4th or 5th on the list for man of the match, but that just highlights how good a performance it was.
Poya timed the change perfectly though taking Benson off for Palmer. Credit where its due on that front.
Agree with benson awful again today wouldnt pay his wages in washers. Almost gifted them a goal aswell.
Although Palmer had a terrible first five minutes. Didn't look at the races and up for the fight at all, but thankfully got in to the game and worked as hard as the others.
Jordan Williams has always been good in a back 3. Plenty of us have been calling for him to play there over Moon & Kitching. He was always a regular for Struber there & did well consistently. To be honest it’s a decent side now. We’re a lot stronger than we were earlier in the season & should be picking up points. Bassi & Quina are good additions, Morris back from injury & Gomes & Vita are coming good. There’s only really Benson who isn’t looking championship standard. Take him out for Brittain & move Styles inside & that’s a decent side with championship standard players all through it.
