Because the shop window had closed and financially it then made more sense to try and stay up. We know the owners want to sell to balance and I'm not particularly having a pop at them for it, but to suggest Vita and the other loanees are suddenly getting game time is entirely coincidental to the window closing is a bit naive if you ask me. Just my opinion and offering up an explanation for why he's not featured until recently.
Gomes has been in and out fairly regularly, but with Benson, Moon and Wolfe injured there's not really anyone else. Plus his performances have improved massively since pre-Christmas. Not sure there's a suddenly about it with him? Vita is the only one that has come in from nowhere. The other two were always going to start once they came in, surely?
As already been said cannot what you mean?.....nothing to do with making money out of this player, not sure what your point is tbh
The other two came in right at the end which strengthens my opinion. Why didnt we set something up immediately given our precarious position if not? It doesn't make sense. Gomes had very little competition in midfield. There were other left backs to try and sell.
I think that view is just reflective of how much distrust there is over the style/plan. Considering we sold Ben Williams to Cheltenham I'm not convinced we played him to realise that dream. I can't answer why we didn't get these players in earlier, especially Bassi, but led to believe Quina only become realistic late in the window. There's no chance we sign him so again why wouldn't we just play our own, if that was the objective?
Vita is a terrific player. We have conceded so many goals this season from crosses from the left. This lad doesn't let opponents get crosses in. His determination to stop them is admirable. He shows bags of skill and pace too. It's a complete mystery why it has taken so long for him to break into the team.
Vita imposed himself so well on their right winger, snuffing out any chance of crosses from that side, to the extent that he (Adomah?) was taken off.
Adomah was brought on after about 70 minutes for ??? He obviously didn't fancy his chances against Vita (6 foot 2 against 5 foot 2!). Vita didn't give either an inch, he was like a little Yorkshire Terrier
I don’t think you can play him in a back 4. He’s too small. It shows when we have a corner & he’s the player who leaves the box to go upfield. Cracking wing back though. Can only assume he was either not fit enough earlier in the season or Styles was preferred there
Get him signed up. I didn't know we had an option to buy. (If the fee is acceptable) The way he fist pumped the badge at the end showed passion.
It's what Khaled said in the Q&A. Be more inclined to believe this is a realistic one vs. the Dike one that we all questioned from the off.
Was it mentioned there was a possibility to sign him permanently at the time though, cos I just have missed it if there was?
