I love a good day out at the cricket, it's great when the sun is shining. Equal first is snooker though. I love watching it and used to be slightly average when I was younger
At the same time? I'm imagining you potting a few balls to the accompaniment of kung fu movie sound effects (blocks of wood bashed together, high-pitched screams, etc.).
I like plenty of other sports but I voted for NFL on the basis that I've supported one of the teams since I was 7yo and it's the only other sport that I pay for a season ticket to watch live games.
Golf by far for me , I’m a bit obsessed with it ,at the moment I can’t play due to a back problem but I’m hoping to persuade the Saudis to pay me millions to play in their rival tour even though I’m crap . Rumoured they are paying Dechambeau £250m to swap tours
I genuinely couldn't give a shiny sheite about any other sport 99% of the time. I'll happily go and watch a 20/20 game at Trent Bridge or have Wimbledon on TV in the background, but other than that I don't care. The boxing this weekend, for example. 2 blokes being hyped up to dance around eachother for 12 rounds landing the odd punch. The Superbowl last weekend, a few very talented players among a raft of chubbers doing 10 second bursts when the adverts aren't rolling. Boring as sin.
Just as an aside. Who enjoys (and watches) sport more now than they did previously? At any point really, but I'd be interested if preferences have changed from pre pandemic and also back in days of youth.
Motorsport is a broad church. Bikes or cars? Or tractors, If cars, roundy roundy or off road? If roundy roundy? Open wheel or not etc etc. anyway, I’m a fan of WRC, in earlier years I loved F1 too, and a bit of National and classic rallying.
Love the world championships at the crucible but you can't beat a sunny day at the cricket. Glad Headingley has got the ODI back cos I was supposed to be going and hoping Goughie is making inroads into a change of culture.
exactly this - and I am not sure I would say football was my favourite either these days. Take Barnsley FC out of the equation and it definitely isnt
