For me he has got to go, his explanations are as weird as his tactics, totally deluded! Give Colin a season and a bit contract to get us turned round , should be long enough to interest him at his age
Love this analogy - Must admit I wasnt the greatest fan of Vals style but I was fine with it and it wasnt as bad as some made out. I preferred Stendel/Hecky or going back a bit Wilson, or my all time favourite Hunter. but Poya's is negative boring to watch and doesnt work. Hard to get any worse than that, in fact in all my years watching Barnsley I have never seen anything as bad and I saw McSeveney and Spackmann As for the tactical genius of breaking the Back three that had been really solid for 1 and 3/4 games - that wasnt even schoolboy stuff
It's like academy football for grown ups. I see more attacking intent and attempts on target as I do at our weekly walking football sessions full of old, overweight and distinctly lacking in ability individuals.
Do you think Conway put a get on we'd get less points than Rotherham's record at the start of the season!?
we had a worldy from Quina because we were shooting from allover. If you take plenty of shots chances are one might go in. If you take zero shots you get us under Poya
Haha i just think hes a very negative manager scared to commit players forward, instructs players not to shoot from far away, doesnt like putting balls into the box from wide. Its like he just wants us to score the perfect goal. We went for a draw yesterday and got all we deserved. We have nothing to lose were bottom of the league 3 wins all season go out to win if we lose we lose but have a go ffs.
Marsh. A bad 45 in terrible conditions and he's banished from the squad. I think you know who the popular midfielder is too because you've told enough people you disagree with their assessment of him recently.
He's popular as in 'we might as well' or 'couldn't be any worse' but Wolfe is the one we really need to try and start in midfield bases on his solo start thus far. I don't think Marsh has been banished based on the Huddersfield game. Maybe he has, but he wasn't banished prior to that. We can't complain about Moon being brought on too quickly and then also claim another of our young talents isn't being brought on enough. If he features in another half a dozen games this season I'd be impressed.
Not sure many 'fellahs' would the way their last few seasons have gone. Aren't they bottom by about ten points?
There's a big difference between keeping a young striker on the bench to bring on if needed and shoehorning a young defender into the team in any random position seemingly just to up his appearances. I also think you've completely misunderstood people's feelings on hondermarck. Nobody is saying we may as well, they're saying that they've seen good performances from him and want him to be given more chances. You're just blind to that because you felt they weren't good performances (not a criticism)
I'm not blind to it at all. Where you misjudge things is to think that every opinion or thought is based on what the BBS says. I have plenty of in person conversations and debates where the 'We might as well' and 'can't be any worse' notion comes in to the discussion (and it's a totally fair one - our midfield has been awful). It's also not about proving anybody wrong despite how you try and position some of these interactions.
I will say it again I've seen more pressing in two slugs shagging more effort in pensioners running for buses more imagination in the grand kids nursery I've also seen a manager that much out of his depth that the mariana trench looks shallow in comparison .... The trap door of league 1 is well and truly open and is all over bar the shouting... league 2 is sat with open arms In my opinion unless something drastically changes on Grove street we are in free fall .with the blessings of Conway and Co...might I add...
