They tried using Young Nudger on a consultancy basis. Didn’t go too well I believe.

The ‘professionals’ that are consistently picking him when he needs to be taken out and protected, and in doing so probably ruining any chance he’s got of making it even if I am wrong about his ability you mean?

He was a late developer if he was knee high to a grasshopper at 17 as well.

    I wholeheartedly apologise Gimmer.

Fancy a football fan on a football forum posting an opinion about a footballer. Whatever next?

A miserable old lovely person whinging about that opinion?

It was clear he wasn't good enough in pre season, how he's managed 20+ championship appearances is absolutely mental. I fully expect him to start tommorow with the captain's armband, nothing would surprise me anymore.

To be honest, taking a forward off and playing with 10 men for the last few minutes would have been better.

I sincerely hope the lad has not read this thread because if ever a group of fans wanted to shatter a young players already fragile confidence then its mission accomplished , whether this lad has a successful career in front of him only time will tell but he is obviously struggling with his development , its not his fault & its bad enough being hung out to dry by the management but for the fans to do it as well is a disgrace .

What do you expect? Most fans on here have said not ready or not good enough. He isn’t to one of those, possibly both.

This is a football fans opinion forum.

i expect fans not to crucify young lads learning their trade, it is not his fault , he does not pick the team, crucify the owners and their policies, crucify the HC for his selections but we are fans and we should support the lad not put him to the sword , target the guilty and not the victim .

Victim? He’s paid a heck of a lot of money as a young footballer. At 20 year old he may need some real perspective. He is currently performing below the level required and has cost points on numerous occasions. Aren’t the real victims the poor sods who pay a sizeable chunk of their earnings to watch him gift goals to the opposition?

Latest in a long line going back to Allen Bradbury in my case. Usually local lads who got it in the neck, but we are far more cosmopolitan now. Two seasons ago it was Andersen, no fans last season so I don’t recall a whipping boy; although a winning team obviously takes the edge off. This season it’s a young kid from Coventry. It’ll be someone else next season. Plus ca change, as we nearly say in Dodworth.

    Have you read the thread?

I think it’s been said very clearly that it isn’t his fault he keeps getting thrown to the lions, and the blame is with the club.

It is more than fair to observe if we don’t think he’s good enough. He’s not on his own this season but it is baffling why he is continually selected when other players, barely used, are continually overlooked.

really harsh that, for me. I'm sure he's not meaning to make any of the mistakes. his workrate and attitude are spot on, and I'm sure he's more gutted than anyone about his mistake against coventry. he keeps being put out there, when he's clearly not at the level he needs to be. is he going to say 'no gaffer, don't pick me'? almost definitely not. the coaching and mismanagement through team selection is bordering on negligent. I dread to think what impact this could be having on his short term mental health and longer term professional development. this isn't on jasper moon for me.

Yes I have read this thread & as is my right I have responded , I ask one simple question , Is it Moons fault he has been selected when he is not quite ready ? Incidentally I do agree with you about team selections & players being overlooked , baffling indeed & that is why I am jumping to Moons defence , it is not his fault .
