Nice to be looking forward to going next match for a change, let’s hope we keep playing on the front foot.....oh and btw good to see all positive messages on forum and crap political **** pushed into background for a change lol!!!
One big difference tonight, I saw a change in Poya. Since he arrived he's been like a cardboard cutout on the touchline or sat in the dugout. Last night he was up and down that touchline, barking and cajoling instructions. Motivating a young squad that does need direction and leadership. When we play on the front foot like that, with the forwards pressing the defenders into making mistakes we can match anybody. Also the fitness levels seemed to have come back last night, we never stopped running for the full 93 minutes. It was a pleasure to watch for a change
I've always thought he was decent. Win, lose or draw biggest compliment I can give him is you can see how how he's lined his team up. You couldn't under Schopp. I prefer it when he sends his teams out to win though.
Yep, totally agree but we are always better when we are pressing from the front and when the handbrake is off. Quina and Bassi have made a big difference, last night we had 4-5 players all pressing the Hull back line and forcing the mistakes. We haven't done that all season with exception of the 1st half at QPR away. Question is can we do it again on Saturday
It's a nice game to have. Teams will come to Oakwell expecting the soft touch from earlier on in the season. It's a good time to play these teams.
I wonder why it took him so long to do that? Did he see how easily Hull gave the ball away and think we can win this I wonder?
Don't know Helen, only he can answer that. Let's see if he does the same on Saturday or goes back to how he's been since he arrived
