When they *cough* 'found WMD' the polls were 70% in favour. Before they were 30% in favour. It's somewhat ironic that people argued at the time that invading a country 'with WMD' seemed ridiculously dangerous, but the 70% thought not. Yet now when we know someone has them (Putin) nobody wants to go near it.

    People are ******* idiots.

I'd imagine that's a significant deterrent to Europe if they capture it. Its like a living nuclear bomb and will be used as some sort of 'human' shield.

Chernobyl is covered by a movable roof, imagine if the Russkis threatened to slide it to one side.

Russians don't want bother. They are not to blame for the actions of the dictator in charge.

Credit to Starmer, apparently the shadow Chief Whip has written to the 11 Labour MPs who signed the Stop The War statement condemning NATO telling them to remove their signatures or lose the whip.

Boris is getting tougher like he should have been in the first place. Let's see what Sleepy Joe decides to do. Ukraine lost Crimea under Obama and now have this under Biden. The president isn't tough enough to keep Putin in check. The best hope we have is if some of his people stage a coup.

Best thing the west can do is to support social media to effect a response from Putin's own citizens. There is no appetite for a war in Russia beyond Putin and his cronies and the Russian people themselves, many of whom dislike Putin, are the best option for the west to get some leverage. Overtly bombarding social media is dodgy but encouraging its use would be sensible and non-escalatory

Don’t you think Putin will have already factored in the strongest of sanctions. Boris getting tougher my arse. His party’s funds have done very nicely from Putin and his friends

Yeah, forget the hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis, a mashed up Iraq, the terror spread round the globe. We killed one man so it's all good.
