I vodka aside I dont think I ever have except when I did a business trip to Moscow and Minsk 30 years ago. But I won’t be knowingly buying anything Russian in the foreseeable future
I hear that Scotland and Wales have declared their countries open to refugees with no visa requirements while England are still requiring them to apply - but only if they are dependents of UK citizens. Kevin Foster, Secretary of State for Safe and Legal Migration tweeted this morning that others could apply using the "points based" immigration system, ie they can pick fruit or become nurses. He then deleted the tweet. What an utter bunch of ***** our government is.
Best turn the gas off then and possibly petrol. Not to diminish whatsoever the situation in Ukraine as Putin is a madman who needs to be stopped but do you feel the same about Saudi Arabian currently using the weapons we sold them to blow up hospitals and schools in the Yemen? Should we not also boycott Saudi goods?
I'm taking some clothes and blankets tomorrow to be sent over. Does anyone know of any other ways we can help?
Meanwhile the EU have pledged millions of euros to buy weapons to help the fight, banned all Russian aircraft from EU airspace - including private jets. Germany has changed it's military policy for the first time since WW2.
I watched the Ukraine president out with the troops and an MP walking the streets with a machine gun, I can't see any of our lot doing that.
Tools are desperately needed mate. I’ve got drills, spanners, ratchet sets that I’ve got out and ready to donate. We also managed to find a wholesaler for quilts, I’ve bought twenty for 25 quid. The link was doing the rounds on Facebook.
FIFA have said that no international matches to be played in Russia and no spectators allowed at Russian games and no flags or anthems. What a load of *****, just kick the fuckers out!!!!
