Admittedly it's the best of a bad bunch, but will leave people on allowed price if the cap goes up (as predicted) again in October and has no exit fee. The down sides are a month early onto the higher rate and you are required to have a smart meter.
Can’t be doing with that Lewis bloke myself - irritating chap who likes to state the obvious and his wife grates on me too like
This is true and no doubt he’s well intentioned the other one that truly gets on my tits for stating the obvious is that travel ‘expert’ - Simon Calder He’s very quick to pop up and say something useless anytime there is a travel problem
Don't really know much about Calder. To be honest I don't really watch Lewis when he's on TV for the reasons you outline. I find the mo ey saving expert website useful and is definitely worth a read once a month. Also the money saving expert credit club is a good tool for keeping a eye on the credit rating and picking up a interest free credit card for large purchases or money transfers.
I am with them , I was put with them after my supplier went bust , early days yet but they are continually badgering me to have a smart meter fitted but I do not want one so it is status quo regarding signing any deals .
I'm eating only raw vegetables & cannellini beans. Saving on the cooking & lighting my own farts for heating. I really should have posted this to Viz.
Eon have now pulled this deal and the new one is more expensive and is more in line the predicted rise of October.
Ask them to delay the switch until 1st April. That’s what I did. Actually, if I was doing it now I would delay it the maximum they allow as it keeps you at that rate for slightly longer than the year (April 3rd was furthest I could get as it was a couple of weeks ago).
I understand why the unit prices for gas and electricity have gone up. But does anyone know why the standing charge for electricity has gone up so much as well? That seems odd, as surely it's not suddenly almost twice as expensive to maintain?
I tried calling but was on hold ages so I just did the switch. To be honest I'm well in credit and I just sent a meter reading in last night and over estimated it slightly. So all should be well.
Sound advice... Whatever you want, whatever you like, whatever you say - you pay your money & you take your choice!
