I'm struggling with the concept. What's the message? The dragon is a mythical beast.

It's obviously a harder hitting message when it's Wolves doing it (which they are) and companies like Puma. Clearly.

But we weren't going to tell them 'no, we aren't interested, go away, leave our mythical griffin alone.'

The grass, coal and three other 'animals' on the crest are gone also.

It's a great message, but I don't think the human race care enough if I'm honest. Folk ignore the threat of climate change, even though it's blatant. Some of the planet's most beautiful wildlife are dwindling in numbers. We should be doing things to reverse such changes. But no, we're still more interested in wars. Arguing over land, money and religion.

Sadly, I think you're absolutely right that mankind doesn't care enough.

COP26 was a huge opportunity and it's been frittered. Fundamentally by India, Russia, China and middle eastern states.... who just so happen to not see an issue with Russia launching assault on a peaceful nation and in the process destroy a little bit more biodiversity.

I always watch the Springwatch/Autumnwatch/Winterwatch programmes and there are always stories of huge reductions in populations in our wildlife. I think it said we'd lost something like 300 million birds across Europe since the 80's. And our populations of House Sparrows and Starlings are massively reduced.

We've known about climate change for decades. It's now indisputable. And still people, companies and countries just don't do enough.

Are there any further planned actions behind the campaign? Are the club looking at its emissions and environmental impact for instance? Are there any planned projects to assist the BFC supporter base to do more?

My other half has just changed career into ESG and we've made a huge effort across a huge range of things to do more. I wonder if the club could look to do the same (even just publicise what they are doing if already doing things) and encourage the fan base to look at what they also do.

What did the Griffin do to deserve wiping off the face of the Earth? Apologies.

It's one of Khaled's aims funnily enough. It's something we're doing a lot of research and work on behind-the-scenes, but it's going to take time. We're not at a stage where we can announce anything notable, but we'll get there.

More to the point, why did a mythical creature of Greek legend end up on the town crest?

I'm guessing it's to do with mining as it's the crest of the Wentworth Family. Wentworth Woodhouse. I know the Fitzwilliam's were heavily involved in coal mining.

I wish the club had its own crest, personally. But where do you start?

I'd hope a lot of things could be done without any research at all, but bigger schemes obviously do.

One of the most shocking things we discovered was that the pan scourers (the yellow and green ones) take 1,000 years to degrade in landfill.

I agree, whilst the club obviously has ties to the town it's in, I think a club should also have its own identity.

It's an ongoing project. Of course there are immediate changes that we can all take. But there are much bigger elements at play, and things take time. As I say, we aren't in a position to shout from the rooftops about anything right now. But Forest Green Rovers have shown - at an admittedly much lower level - that it's possible for clubs to make a difference, to be different. So there is necessary research under way, and when we are in a position to speak about what we are doing, we certainly will.

But we aren't. We've lots to do. And it's something I personally hope we can achieve and that certain factors don't change in the next couple of years that scupper us.

It's okay saying what you'd like to do, it's another thing entirely to actually do it. And yes, that can speak for a number of topics. And I don't share such language. Promises are exactly that. I'm not in a position to do that, but I do live in hope.

Well hopefully the easy things have already been done, or are planned to be done quickly without needs for navel gazing.

Given FGR seem to have a much more ethical heart, or at the least are further down their journey, I'd be very surprised if they weren't amenable to help anyone wanting to also carry the fight.

But I live in hope with you too, until I die.

I've put that forward a number of times. Genuinely. And to be called 'The Kestrels' not the generic 'Reds'.

Marketing dream. Branding would be so good.

It always gets laughed off, like I'm joking.

Or, considering the bulldog and Toby Tyke element, you go towards that. Again, another dream in terms of branding and marketing. Are there any other 'bulldog-based' clubs in the UK?

The current crest, the town's, not BFC's, what does it do for us? Very little based on my experience.

Whereas, you look at Wolves, Swansea, Brentford and even Sheff Utd, and theirs are a dream for someone in my profession.

I'm just spitting out thoughts though. I know it went down like a lead balloon under Mansford. I voted for the current crest to remain. But that wasn't the idea that was wrong, it was the concepts put forward. In my opinion.

They are buddy. FGR. Alongside the EFL. One of the better things the EFL have got involved with in recent years.

It's up to other clubs to then take action, or not. I believe we're doing so.

Barnsley, Kes, Barry Hines, Kestrel, writes itself. And the design you could have. Such a lost opportunity, every second we don't have it.

Do you know why we ditched the toby tyke logo back in the day? Even as it was, it was bold and strong and very distinctive.

Could be modernised or simplified to something akin to the Wolves badge which for me is by far and away the best badge. I thought Wednesday had a good one until they messed with it relatively recently.
