I am a glass half full guy but at the moment I'm struggling abit with Ukraine situation news of the death of Shane Warne and much lesser degree the theft of the petty cash tin of my Grandson's u9s footie team,so come on guys someone must have some positive news I would love to hear it.
Well, we've just had sticky barbecue chicken, green beens and potato wedges from HELLO FRESH and it was superb and as a bonus the rash on my gentleman's appendage has completely vanished.
The guide dog we have been fostering for the past 7 months, Iris, has met a potential match to help. She has been having a few weekend sleepovers and on the 17th they will move into a hotel together for 2 weeks to properly train together. If that is a success she becomes a working guide dog and a blind person gains independence. Here she is during her lessons on how to safely ‘mind the gap’.
I’m feeling the same in lots of ways. I watched a news article last night about families in Poland holding placards at the station inviting Ukrainians to stay with them for as long as they liked. That made me feel a little better. I’ve also seen tonnes of examples of acts of kindness with thousands of food parcels etc been sent to families in need. Kindness will overcome Putin. Good will overcome Evil.
We had a retired couple in the store I work in. They were training guide dogs they had the most adorable black labrador with them. Its a fantastic thing these volunteers do.
Tesco meal deal still £3 instead of 3.50 if you have a club card- sorry best I have after a bad week!
I’m really hoping for a black lab or a German Shepherd next time. It looks like we just missed the latter though!
Same. Struggling a bit but there's folk far worse off My eldest fled the nest at Xmas, my youngest went to Italy to study on Monday, and me and Mrs Mac are rattling around the house a bit with nobbut bad news on telly. And I seem to think it is only a few weeks back that we were having Christmas dinner and playing Scrabble and monopoly. But in reality it is bloody march already. To cheer things up a bit we have all booked a few days in Italy next month to see sprog #2 whilst I have pushed the boat out and treat me and sprog#1 to the GP at Imola. Not feeling it yet, but hopefully summat to look forward to
