Over failing to capture one country he’d give up all the power he’s built up (can’t have power if you’re dead), when he could just lick his wounds and come up with a different plan to keep himself entertained? Do you think you might be being a bit dramatic?
Meeting between Ukraine and Russian delegations in Turkey.... Sergei Lavrov says "the country's operation in Ukraine is going to plan" So the plan all along is to lay seige to major cities, level them, blocking attempta to evacuate them and kill thousands of civilians in the process Says it all really about the morality of the Russian ruling classes
Its worth re-iterating, I don't doubt western military strategists have "gamed" every scenario from doing nothing to full scale NATO invasion, my guess is that anything beyond tacit support and sanctions would be highly likely to lead to a nuclear exchange with a high probability of escalation to global thermonuclear war resulting in the end of life on the planet as we know it. Now, you might be happy with that risk, but thankfully you're not in charge.
My daughter had to bribe the border guards between Thailand and Cambodia, they way she described it, it was pretty hostile. I was surprise actually how unbothered the security guards in China were, but then they must know that in order to get a Visa you have to basically sell a kidney.
I got a grilling and full bag search when I wrote police as my profession when i visited Cuba 13 years ago. I had my ID with me in my wallet so didn't want to lie on the off chance they checked.
Correct , but Zelensky thought NATO would come to his aid . A bad error of judgement from him . Most of his strategy has been " rescue us " which was never going to happen . I do wonder if he has a gun to his head hence why he can't negotiate with the Russians . https://metro.co.uk/2022/03/07/ukra...eath-after-claims-he-was-russia-spy-16227598/ They did execute one of the Ukrainian negotiators just a few days ago . 2 bullets to the head .[/QUOTE] really , have I imagined all the brave Ukranian folks Wouldn’t want you in charge either, like I said you give in to bullies and they just push and push. Putin has been pushing the nuclear thing for years, the West has backed off and here we are. I never said send troops in though but I do think we should help the Ukrainians as much as possible. You however seemed to be more interested in turning it into a political argument about Syria.
I directly quoted your post, so if they’re not your words you should have made sure it doesn’t look like they are
One thing that all this Russia ******** has taught me is that Corbyn was absolutely right about nuclear weapons. They don't protect anyone at all except the bad guy. Ireland isn't in NATO. What's your stance if he invades Ireland?
If you look you'll see that it was a quote of @bfc1001 which just hasn't gone into a quote box fully. Easy mistake to make but if you read his whole post you'd have seen it says /quote directly after that quote and the post directly above his says the exact same words.
https://www.middleeasteye.net/opinion/russia-ukraine-war-jeremy-corbyn-right-putin-oligarchs Good article here from Peter. One of the last actual journalists writing in the U.K.
your first point is wrong. your second point avoids addressing my initial issue - i.e. one shot from a NATO country against Russia and this country is at war - catastrophic. (if you are able to respond to this message try to focus on the issues raised without hiding behind a personal attack!)
I didn't attack you I asked you a very simple question. Ireland isn't a nato country. If he Invades Ireland do you believe they should be left to be destroyed as they aren't NATO?
So I have to apologise to you because you failed to use the quote function correctly? sure, that makes perfect sense: My humblest apologies
