So would I. Older guys who have won a lot. I don't mind Nasser though I would add him to your preferred list. I really like Danny Morrison too. He's like a Kiwi Bumble with his clowning around and enthusiasm. Isa Guha did well on the Big Bash coverage this past winter.
I’m sure it’s been said but when kemar Roach can bat for 70 odd balls against our bowlers it about sums it up. Woakes and Overton opening the bowling! it’s almost as if we’ve decided our batting’s crap we might as well match the bowlers up too
What the **** has Woakes got on the England management?! Its a disgrace that someone with such an appalling overseas record was considered for this tour.
I bet the Windies couldn't believe their luck when our 90mph bowler wasn't given the new ball yesterday.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.da...-way-pace-responsibility-did-not-sit-him.html As Martin Samuel states, what Woakes has served up so far is unacceptable at test level. 55 average away from home!!!
171 runs from 90.1 overs in the day. Proper old school test day over under two runs an over. I need to know what Boycott thought.
Test Cricket bit of a step up for him than earning £1 per run on top of his flat fee playing for Hoylandswaine on that tiny little ground on Haigh Lane.
England need to get the 200 lead then bat like it's a 1 dayer until lunch. If they play out a draw they haven't moved forward. Two sessions at this West Indian team might be enough.
We can win that's for sure. I suspect when a wicket goes down we might bring out Stokes and Bairstow before Lawrence to treat it like ODI. Maybe they will swing the bat for 90 minutes and get them in for twenty before lunch.
I reckon the weather has put paid to any result. Other than a draw. Unless england go all out in the first 20 overs tomorrow and by some miracle. Bowl the windies out in 65 ish overs with a weak bowling outfit. Can't see it missen. Can only hope I suppose.
I think you're wrong they were massively criticised for not chasing on the last day v New Zealand. I think the England set up is re-branding itself. I reckon they'd risk a defeat to say they had faith in " operation red ball" or whatever they've called it.
