    Could be a cheap week for me. Skybet allowing me twenty quid on their no lose cash back first race of each day. Bet365 and Paddy Power I have a daily five pound free bet with both as well.

    Not Cheltenham but if anyone wants to recoup their losses from guessing the best nag not to unseat its jockey, surely you should all be lumping on Ukraine to win the Eurovision Song Contest?

    They've been given entry to the competition and are at 6/5 with Paddy Power. Is anyone really not going to vote for this...?


    Eurovision executive producer Simona Martorelli said the delegation from Ukraine had confirmed and sent in all required materials, even on time.

    “This is absolutely admirable, given the situation,” Martorelli said.

    Ukraine’s pick this year is the Kalush Orchestra, with the rap lullaby Stefania.

    Sung to a mother, the song incorporates traditional Ukrainian music and includes the line: “I’ll always find my way home even if all the roads are destroyed.”

    Martorelli added that the artists would try to tape a “backup video” required by all those invited to the contest in case they cannot participate live.

    “Hopefully they will be able to make it,” Martorelli said.

    Eurovision’s executive board decided on 25 February - the day after Russia invaded Ukraine - to exclude Russia from this year’s contest.

    The flamboyant annual musical event, which has millions of viewers in Europe and even Australia, is scheduled for 10-14 May in Turin. Organizers said this year’s contest would focus on the theme of peace.

    Run Wild Fred is probably the most obvious horse of the day, but at 7/4 I'm not bothered at that price.

    I've already got Dysart at 12s and 10s for the first race, so I'll let that run.

    Adagio and Not So Sleepy each way against Honeysuckle - I think Appreciate It will bomb out, so the places are up for grabs.

    Fantastikas and Tea Clipper are my idea of decent bets in the 2.40 - both are about 12s and fit the profile of the winner in this.

    The 4.50 is a proper cavalry charge and the kind of race I love to get my teeth into. The favourite could win by 10 lengths but with 6 places to play for I like Prairie Dancer and Blitzka.
