    But if they didn’t every man and his dog would’ve been having a go at them for a lack of ambition or something along those lines.
    They haven’t helped themselves but they can’t win!

    You’ve also got to think, we had the great escape right at the death and then started horribly. There was little expectation to finish in the playoffs right until near the end.

    So it’s not like there was a wave of expectation to splash money, though I agree, there will be those who don’t realise our perilous state and expect more money to be frittered.

    He was sat in front of my mate in the Ponte on Saturday.

    Sound bloke, engaging and had some really good conversations with the fans around him.

    Fair play to him - and he’s right, we’ve just got to keep positive and support the team.
