the most lenient ref I’ve seen in ages. I thought he took it a bit far when he let one of their players literally pick Bassi up off the ground for a bit
2 last gasp equalisers in our last 2 games has robbed us of 4 points. Both by stupid substitutions. At least we had 2 goals to defend instead of 1 tonight. I still have the view that he's tactically inept The team have improved I agree, though they couldn't fail to be any worse than when he arrived. Great result, well deserved, not convinced he's the right manager for next season though. Any road, cracking open a few Tropicals now to celebrate
He walked off down the tunnel. Suspect just a reoccurrence of his thigh strain on Saturday. Looked to be ok
I think he could be decent as a manager - it’s just hard to tell as we were that poor before him, anyone would have struggled when coming in. I can’t help but think though, that not having them 4 points lost from last 2 games, may help our mentality. Sounds bizarre, but it comes down to that it’s best to be the hunter and not the hunted. Same when you’re chasing 6th place. Chasing it gives the mentality that you’ve nothing to lose.
There's a video on the main site of him driving forward aggressively a few days ago, but he was in a Kia.
Derby play Coventry and Reading play Blackburn on Saturday. Blackburn should have enough based on tonight’s performance. Derby Coventry I’ll take a draw.
no reason to think Coventry can't beat them, to go from 1 0 to 3 1 against a team struggling to draw must be gutting for them and Coventry still could make the play offs.
He came over to give a lad his shirt at the end of the game and had ice under his sock.Hopefully just a precaution.
Great start to the game and fully deserved the two goal lead. We played some decent stuff and looked confident. In the second half, in my opinion, we seemed to drop further back as the game progressed. Whether that was Asbaghi's tactics, lack of confidence, or Bristol City's approach is open to conjecture. However, in my opinion, especially at this time of the season, the result is all that matters. I think we thoroughly deserved the victory over the 90 minutes. My MOTM was Andersen, just in front of Helik.
https://streamja.com/QO4AR https://streamja.com/G2W5O Bassi was brilliant for the goals. Bristol defending like we have for a lot of the season. Every set piece we had I felt we stood a chance.
Probably a combination of all 3. The previous two games would've been on their minds, they were certainly on mine. Not to mention the raft of 2-2 draws we've had in the same fixture. I think keeping Bassi on for the full game made a difference. He didn't have as much running in him the end, but enough quality to keep hold of the ball on occaision, which we didn't have after we went off on Saturday.
