Styles back, hmm, hope the rest has done him some good. Hondermarck dropped from bench as well as Benson
No particular issue with the team, though i worry whether any out of Morris, Styles, Bassi, Wolfe and Vita will be able to do the full 90. I’d have preferred to have the same starting 11 from Saturday, with Styles on the bench. Particularly given the chances of Cole coming on appear to be slim if Saturday’s anything to go by.
Id have put Styles on the Bench and started the same 11 then at least we have a decent Sub to bring on into midfield, also Kitching can consider himself a bit unlucky to be dropped as he had a great game on Saturday
Someone fairly close to the club told me that Hondermarck has a serious attitude problem. Having said that, the same person was none too praising of Cole’s attitude either.
Poya always seems to waffle around the question and state that he's improving, but not ready yet. When asked yesterday about being coached as a defender, or is he still a midfielder, there was more waffle. I'd still have him on before Benson, Palmer or Cole, based on their recent performances (sorry @Loko the Tyke )
I'd have an attitude problem as well if I was him. Seeing the constant use of certain players and not being used
It’s probably not easy to bite your lip when you’re given no opportunity despite a huge injury list and **** ups galore from those getting game time ahead of you. I suspect we’ll release him in the summer.
Your first sentence was exactly my response to that comment, word for word. I assume that he's being given more information week by week about what he needs to do, but just looking at performances from the outside...
It's probably much easier to take on the chin when you were given a chance at a time when you could have easily be looking down the football abyss. We haven't signed a player for the here and now with Hondermarck. Regardless of how awful some performances have been. Can see him being frustrated not to get a chance off the bench but doubt he will be kicking off about it all.
If Hondermark was good enough the manager would play him. There's nothing underhand going on, there's no conspiracy, the manager doesn't think he's good enough (at present). I've seen a couple of his cameos and I'll be honest, I think he looked OK. But I haven't seen anywhere near enough of him to judge properly. I have a very, very strong suspicion that if I had seen a lot of him I wouldn't want him anywhere near the team. I know that my initial impressions of dozens of our past players have been entirely wrong. Our manager wants to win football matches. To do so he will pick the best players available. If you believe anything other than this your theory does not make any sense.
So why put him on the bench at all then? Always seems to be " attitude" given as a reason but what does that even entail?
Why was Vita not played though? If I was manager is very much have wanted him in my team. Same with Sibbick.
