Everyone loves the red button, unless your lass shouts you to help with carrying washing ,then you miss goal and they don’t do replays
Had similar for both goals tonight! In the end I kept asking if there was anything I could do, hoping it would give us a third!
Yeah the red button is showing for coverage.... https://www.skysports.com/football/sheffield-united-vs-barnsley/447803
Box Office are usually quite good at updating on this front but haven't seen fit to do so here for some reason. Can only assume there's plenty left.
If our away record wasn’t so abysmal then I’d be confident we’d be able to get something on Saturday based on our current form. A win would take us above Reading (albeit only temporarily if they win their game later in the day) and that could do wonders for confidence. As it stands I think we’ll either do our usual trick of not showing up after a couple of decent performances, or we’ll play a defensive game and lose to a last minute wonder goal from Billy Sharp.
I've not looked at fixtures left for Reading but I think our last couple could turn out to be pretty tough and although I'd rather leave passing them to be pretty late (I think we've always been pretty good when hunting down something, rather than staying there), we probably could do with getting ahead of them sooner rather than later. There are plenty of twists and turns left though. One defeat doesn't put us down, one win doesn't put us safe. But at least the whimper has turned into some fight.
Saturday is tough playing one of the better sides in the league with our really poor away record. There is also the pressure that if we lose it takes some pressure off Reading later on. It's better when you play the same time as your main rival. Of course we could flip it around by winning which would put lots of pressure on Reading to try and match our result.
Been a update we still have around 900 left from a second allocation. Probably won't take 2600 but won't be far off after last night.
Difficult game to assess. They're a far cry from the team that played at Oakwell but then again so are we.
Not too bad, considering our away record. Incidentally, what's been our lowest ever turnout at Bramall Lane? And which year was it they brought a few hundred over to us?
Ive looked at Readings remaining games & on paper their run in seems to be easier than ours in my opinion.
I've done it umpteen times and it all boils down to winning your games. For every Derby or Coventry away there will be a Hull City away of Fulham at home performance. You can't predict that. I wouldn't swap with anyone else right now. We either get the points and stay up or we don't. At least how we're playing now will give us a chance. There will be bad results and performances but there will be for Reading too.
Yeah, their point at Bournemouth negates the unexpected point we got against Fulham. Impossible to say what a good or bad run in is. Sometimes you want a team in mid-table, but they can be the ones playing with no pressure on them and perform better than they had previously. Under Struber, we struggled against Stoke, Luton and Wigan then beat Forest at a time that they were in for the play offs, and then cost Brentford automatic promotion. This league is a bookies' dream.
