Hi hope this is allowed, i am selling our 3 bed home in mapplewell. Link is here https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/121375253#/?channel=RES_BUY Cheers
About 250 yards from.where I grew up for the first 25 years of my life. Good luck with the sale. Edit - I always classed it as Staincross. But was never quite sure where one started and the other finished.
Just make the price £200,000. You'll get more people who see it then on Rightmove. This explains it well. https://www.readysteadysell.co.uk/rightmove-price-bands-how-does-it-work/ Simon Blyth are a good agent, you'll be ok with them.
Good luck with the sale. Hope you get above asking price. It's a lovely property and I love that you've a dart board up in the kitchen
That's definitely Mapplewell to me. When I was lad it was classed Mapplewell up until you got to Kingsway. In the other direction to the top Greenside (new road)
I went to Darton High School which was well and truly in Kexborough (Note Kexborough not Kexbrough as it says on some buses).
Not only did i go to the same school the first house we bought was right up by the school off Ballfield Lane. I had things come through the post all the time with my address saying Darton. Council Tax bill said Kexborough though.
I grew up on Eastfield Crescent back of Eastfield Arms (formerly Staincross Hotel) and weve always had Staincross as postal address etc. As an aside the old rail station opposite the pub was under the bridge and was Staincross Station. The border must be somewhere inbetween that and Allendales.
