Russia invades Ukraine

From what I know about it, the most likely coup will come from the military. The oligarchs have been put at arms length some time ago. Not saying they don't cander support with elements of the military though, so there is no doubt some truth in this.

I feel for all the people like yourself in Russia, but it isn't like you are in a position to make a statement, for fear of a fine or prison. In the meantime the people of Ukraine are being bombed, starved & their homes are being flattened. It is little surprise that the West is doing everything, other than starting WW3 right now.

We must always understand war is not about nation vs nation, rather leader vs leader. My great grandad bayonetted a German at the Somme in 1916, shortly before being wounded by shrapnel. The bloke's picture of his wife fell out of his pocket as he died. This story tells me what the real casualties of war are, not the leaders, but the conscripts, civilians & the cats, dogs & other creatures caught up in what is utter madness.

Putin needs to be stopped. How that is done could be debated to some degree, but there are few in the UK Parliament on both sides of the house & most of the general public that oppose what the line is at the moment. Most of us non Tories would have stopped the Russian love in long ago.

Rule by terror and conditioning to accept terror. Orwell's rule of the pigs supported by the dogs. Destruction of the top pig is unthinkable as long as the dogs support him. A palace coup supported by the army happened to ineffective Tsars and they looked for a new tsar. Putin thinks of himself as a tsar and as long as he rides horses without a shirt and poses in ice hockey games and feeds the dogs he's safe.
In invading a Ukraine stronger than he thinks and getting bogged down in the fighting his only answer is further brutality. Poorly maintained military equipment because somebody pocketed the money that should have been used for it exposes the inefficiency of the tsar.
I think the article is quite feasible, the dogs are starving and it wouldn't be surprising if the dogs ate the top pig. The problem with palace coups is that they look to restore the system that they see as the natural order. Another top pig feeding the corrupt system.
Nothing to see here, business as usual and the people don't benefit and remain in the dark with their TVs.
Sorry Ukraine, our mistake, how about we pull out and give you some money for rebuilding? What? You want The Crimea back? You must be joking.

 

I see the U.S are positioning a false flag chemical attack now, its worrying (but not surprising) when the US ambassador to the UN on CNN says that Russia used chemical weapons in Syria - a flat lie - it wasn't even Russia but Syria who were accused - but what she's doing is the same as Obama did in Syria and his "red line" - which was a massive blunder as it gave those fighting Assad a green light to stage just such a "chemical attack" and wait for the US cavalry to come in....and thats just what they did - staged said attack. so what would you do if you were Ukraine now.....? Seems a logical step to them.

 

Ukraine have announced that they've crippled 3 Russian ships this morning including the main amphibious assault vessel.

Interestingly Zelenskyy has asked for Roman Abramovich to be taken off the sanctions list.

 

Really? Why is Zelensky asking for that?

 

Zelensky is hell bent on Nato getting involved with the conflict. Could be well off the mark but if Ukraine hadn't given up their nukes, I think he could be the one to strike first with them as he gets desperate.

I just can't see how Nato intervening further doesn't lead to nuclear war and defo WW3.

I think if Zelensky had nukes, Putin would have stayed well clear and we wouldn't be having this war.

Ukraine had the 3rd biggest stockpile in the world at the time they gave them up.

 

I think if Putin didn't have penis envy he wouldn't have invaded Ukraine.

Apparently Abramovich offered himself as a mediator when the talks started.

 

Wasn't this quickly shown to be hollow though? I suspect an exercise to try and buy himself time before he lost all his London based assets.

 

All I'm saying is there are four posters on here who are attacking Ukraine and trying to victim blame and I'm not in the least bit surprised which four they are...

 

I'm just here to point out the censorship and corporate media duplicitous and hypocritical coverage of Russia's war against Ukraine. Oh, by the way, happy anniversary of NATOs illegal war against Yugoslavia which began on this date 23 years ago, with NATO targeting civilian buildings in urban areas ( a war crime we are now of course keen to throw at Russia), and killing over 1000 civilians in the process.

 

Do you think the sanctions affecting the regular people could have the opposite effect and help Putin and his West are all bad people version?

 

point me to a post where I have supported Russia's invasion and I'll gladly apologise. My lack of enthusiasm for supporting an endless war in Ukraine, which is only going to kill more Ukrainians shouldn't be mistaken for support for Putin. As I previously posted: "Just a friendly reminder that both sides in a war can be bad and you don't have to support anyone involved in it.".

 

So to clarify, do you think Ukraine are ‘as bad’ as Russia?
