No, and I’ve never said that Ukraine are “as bad”. NATO ( really Uk and the USA) in our foreign wars have killed far more innocent people then Russia ever had however- so are we “as bad”? well when It comes to executing illegal wars we’re worse then Russia. Because the modus operandi for us has always been to destroy the country’s infrastructure, regardless of civilian casualties. And the west continues to have an occupying army in Iraq despite their parliament voting to ask them to leave.

Last time I checked Stalin wasn’t even Russian, he was Georgian, and he was the leader of the USSR not Russia, I was talking about post soviet Russia.

Stalin was a Georgian of course. He also presented himself as 'saviour of the Russian people.' ‘Soviet’ and ‘Russian’ became interchangeable during WW2. Churchill was no fan of the Soviets, but decided his allies were the Russian people. After all, how else could he persuade the British public that their allies were the same totalitarian butchers as the Nazis?

As for post -Soviet, Putin was head of the KGB. Which I think was slightly Soviet.

In other news, an Antarctic ice shelf the size of Rome has collapsed. Largely thought to be because of seasonal temperatures being 40 degrees above normal.

 

Certainly looks like Ukrainian troops have made a successful counter-attack and pushed Russian troops away from Kyiv. There's been talk of the several thousand Russian troops being encircled and unable to re-supply, but that seems a little premature at the moment. They've certainly lost a fair amount of ground though.

 

just listened to a phone call from a Russian solder to his gran, he saying he got frostbite in his fingers and toes and the pain is killing him, Ukrainian troops bursting dams and flooding areas Russian troops are in, once you get wet and cold there is no heating back up, look like there is more than one way to skin a cat, poor uniforms and rations and cold weather all not helping ,he said he just wants to come home and went on to abuse Putin, wonder what percent of Rusian troops actually want to be there ?
