I've had a few today and the Reds are undefeated this weekend.

So, I ask you this question...

Who is the best frontman of all time? Now, I'll say Liam Gallagher because I love Oasis and I want to have his babies if he agrees - but objectively there's probably better. Freddie Mercury was the dogs, but it was before my time and I always found his voice a little "soft".

Anyway, Liam is the man, and Be Here Now is the best.

    Over to you.....

I'm a massive Oasis fan too, Liam has a massive presence, arrogance, broody and snarling persona in stage and going back to his early performances he had a certain innocence about him.

We are all entertained in different ways and look for different things, if you want performers then there's Mercury, Grohl, Bolan etc

The best I've seen is Kelly Jones from the stereophonics, very much a story teller in between songs that kept you interested

Also agree about Be Here now, cut some of the running time down on the songs, dump magic pie and girl in the dirty shirt for stay young and the fame and it would be immense

**** I love Be Here Now chat. How Stay Young wasn't on that album I will never know. But I can't drop a tune from it, I want it longer. It was their masterpiece. Make it last three hours. Add the B Sides. Add I Got The Fever and Sister Lover. Just keep doing the lines and the booze. It was the best.

So yeah, Liam is the man.

It's the album I listen to the most, takes me back to being 15 and having hair!

Never the same when Gem and Andy Bell joined and it became more acoustic rather than electric guitar solos

I think this is something the modern bands are lacking. Does the traditional front man exist these days? Who’s doing it well and who isn’t doing it at all?

For once I can’t mention The Cribs in this as they share front man duties, but I would throw Jarvis Cocker in to the mix at the totally other end of the spectrum to Liam. Without being a MASSIVE Oasis fan I did see them live a fair few times and I’ve not known anyone have that kind of stage presence.

Not sure Frank Turner counts, but it it is Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls. He’s immense and holds a room and a crowd like no other.

I know I’m biased but I’d go for Springsteen, His engagement with the crowd his unbelievable, I’ve seen him invite loads of fans on stage to sing with him, walk into a middle of the crowd to conduct a singalong among other things, the list is endless of what he does, it’s basically been a 3 & half hour party,

Sorry, but it's difficult to see past Freddie Mercury. Head and shoulders above anyone else.

Quite liked Bono in U2's early days, before he became a bit of a tit.

Also Stuart Adamson. Tons of energy. Really enjoyed seeing Big Country live.

Alex Harvey too. A terrific performer, though sadly I never got to see him in the flesh.

    Plus one for Springsteen actually.

That bloke can't half hold the crowd in his hand.

Whatever the answer is, music is great.

Mick Jagger is your proper front man

Jarvis Cocker can't sing, basically. He did not exude personality when I saw them. At the time i loved Pulp, and the performance was very good.

Thinking about it, Mick Jagger can't sing either. But he can hold an audience.

Bruce Springsteen overdid it when he sat down after each song as though he was on his front porch.

I have seen many an old group. And live, they surprise you.

So I shall give a big personality thank you to Boy George with Culture Club. I thought I'd hate it but I loved it.

Superb front man (if that suits his own description)
