This is the worst relegation team as far as performances i think I’ve ever seen and as some will know we have had some ***** in past .
You feel disappointed but so use to it now it doesn't go as deep,it could and SHOULD have been so different. WHAT do they see ( owners and coach) that we don't?
The club might be soulless but it certainly isn’t arsehole less, (if that’s a word). Spoken like a true fan,,,,, in Blackpool!
Were they chuff. On this day in 1927 we won 6-1 which was our 13th win of the season giving us a points total of 34 points from 36 games. If it was 3 points for a win it would have been 47 points so far compared to the measly 29 we've got from 40 games this year. By our 40th game that season (using 3 points for a win) the two teams compare as follows 1927: played 40, won 16, drew 8, lost 16. Points: 56 Current shambles: played 40, won 6, drew 11, lost 23. Points: 29 I know your post was in jest but couldn't help but show that even if you pick a random year chances are we are currently much worse than it
TBH I've never felt more connected. I feel/fear for OUR club. My bond with BFC is stronger than ever.
Wish I could feel like that. I wouldn't care (you know what I mean) if we were bottom of league 2. As long as we had a feeling of passion/fight/comradery/effort. I'd still be supporting our lads 100% But when you feel like there's 0 of that from the majority of players/staff/owners, it's hard to swallow.
I was naive enough to think that the reputed wealth of these owners was such that we would operate differently, and with more ambition. Instead they have turned selling from being a necessity to being a virtue. The squad is no stronger than the day they came, the stadium seems neglected (and efforts to re-purchase it seemingly abandoned) and our Championship place has been squandered - again. I'll come back when they walk away.
it will turn round eventually but we badly need some Charisma at the club, a manager that shows some passion and connects with the crowd would help , and we certainly need some on the pitch in a Glavin , Redfern, Hignett esque way.
Its all a bit overly dramatic. Woe is us, not good enough this season. We dont spend more than we bring in, good. Lets try again next season, we have a big enough budget for league 1 and anything other than top six league 1 isnt good enough for Barnsley fc unless our crowds drop below £9k then we deserve to languish in league 1 drop to £5k then thats a league 2 side. £15k is champioship support.
I remeber 2014 i wasnt going to renew after relegation i had a young family and money was tight. Then i got a letter in post some may say a begging letter from cryne but it seemed pretty genuine to me when i read it and i knew the bloke cared about the club etc and way i ended up renewing... nothing exept a change a the top could get me to renew this time. Was out yesterday and didnt look at the score untill i was home really lost intrest at the minute. Conway and lee have killed it.
You’re in for a rude awakening sadly. Next season will be a struggle. There will be a huge turnover of players, god knows who the manager will be, and League 1 will be full of teams like Charlton, Ipswich, Portsmouth, Derby, Bolton, possibly Sunderland, Sheff Wednesday, the list goes on!
