Worse Helen? What's worse than our lowest points total at this level for 70 years? I'd say last summers transfer window is comfortably our worst ever.

To be fair to Kane, he’s had one season interrupted by injury, where Thomas has been available for long spells but not been able to establish himself.

I also think that things would’ve been different for Kane this year if we’d had a proper pre season with a proper backroom staff.

Local reporter for radio sheffield said oulare and iseka werent signings from the usual data analysis. Oulare had played less games in the last 5 years than andy caroll so how could any data be taken seriously? And iseka hardly prolific. Even benson played most games in u23s is that even a competitive league? Hardly.

I hope you're joking with this? He'd be immense in league one.

Experience is key but sunderland may disagree with a massive but get and a squad of experience who will have been down there 4 years now.

I still can't believe Cole was given a 4 year deal. He scored a few goals in the SPL but even Kane Hemmigs managed that. Shocking decision by Conman.

But Bassi has shown that he has an end product in this league, something Bahre didn’t. I think Bassi would be a cracking player in league 1. However, I do agree that he probably won’t be here.

We did and he's supposedly on 7k a week. I reckon we are heavily subsidising his wages whilst he is out on loan - probably 75-85%. Conman must have been shitfaced to sign off the Oulare deal given the players lack of game time at all previous clubs.

He’s a much better player than Bahre, so would do better in whatever league.
    3 year deal for Cole

Barton said he would possibly look at trying to bring him back there next season but there was no comments about buying him, pity really because Derby had our pants down with him & we will get nowhere near the alleged 1.2 million we paid for him but anything is better than nothing

I doubt we paid anywhere near that figure in the end.

When Luke Thomas came in the accounts showed total expenditure of £6.3m. Here’s a post I did a while ago breaking down the fees.

In the year there were 12 incoming players and a total of £6.32m. I’ve had a guess at what was paid, again based on media and brining the total in to line. I then put in brackets an estimate of what they may be worth now. This purely for interest and means very little!
    1 Luke Thomas from Derby £1m (£0m)
2 Mike Bahre from Hannover £0.1m - (released)
3 Bambo Diaby from Lokeren £0.5m - (contract cancelled)
    4 Aappo Halme from Leeds £0.5m - (£0m)
    5 Malik Wilks from Leeds £0.9m - (sold £0.9m)
    6 Mads Andersen from Horsens £0.9m (£3m)
    7 Toby Sibbick from Wimbledon £0.45m (£0.2m)
8 Connor Chaplin from Coventry £0.7m (sold £0.75m)
    9 Clark Odour from Leeds £0.3m (£0m)
10 Michael Sollbauer from Wolfsberger £0.2 (sold £0.2m)
11 Marcel Ritzmaier from Wolfsberger £0.1(free)
12 Patrick Schmidt from Admira Wacker £0.7m (£0.2m)

I suspect we paid more for Sollbauer and Ritzmaier in the January than the figures you guessed.
My guess at Thomas would be 750k tops, which would still be over the odds.
Biggest issue is the sheer number of players that we paid a fee for. Still recovering from that summer window as well as the catastrophic season we’re having now.

I suspect there's all sorts of clauses in these contracts. Appearance bonus, goal bonus, retention of league status, etc etc. You have to say these lot have spent. Just alot of that spending hasn't been done wisely
