Just because we don't know if there are anyone or any group of people that want to buy this football club does not mean that there aren't.There will be quite a few parties that would like to buy Manchester United from the Glaziers but do we hear about them?

Of course we will people who would like to buy the club.

I'm one of them. Just don't have the brass for such a purchase

As I used to say when Patrick would quietly say at supporters meetings that he wanted to sell the club but never told anyone else, I could sell my house pretty quickly if I wanted to but I've not had a single offer for it because I've never put it up for sale. Likewise I've had nobody show me any interest in buying my car but if I was to put it up for sale for the right price it would 100% sell.

A lack of visibility from potential buyers doesn't mean a lack of people who would make an offer, it means the current owners haven't made it clear it's for sale. We know that there is a group of supporters wanting Conway out. They claim they wish to buy him out. He won't even face them.

That there will be many groups interested in owning Man United but since they're not for sale we don't know who they are. The Glazers put Man U up for sale and we'd start to know some names.

That doesnt make any difference mate. It hasn't cost our new owners a penny so far and they aren't putting anything in, we'd have been better off with a fans consortium

The point is so many people keep coming out with the same old "who is wanting to buy this club if the owners leave",Well as I said who knows there aren't possible buyers out there that want to buy this debt free football club.

    Right, wasn’t sure.

How many people came forward during the 10 years that Patrick Cryne said it was for sale? How many others came forward when PMG came in? How many people have come forward, since Khaled confirmed the owners said they would sell if someone matches their value?

There is lots of evidence to suggest there is no one out there who is seriously interested. There is no evidence pointing to anyone out there who is.

Mike Ashley putting Newcastle up for sale was in all the media. Can't say I've seen anything in the media about our owners putting us up for sale. Wigan for new owners no trouble. There were more than 4 interested parties in for Derby, despite all the debt that needs paying off.And more points deductions next year.

I’m thinking of selling my house if someone can match my valuation.

    Very true.
In archaeology, we have a mantra of 'absence of evidence is NOT evidence of absence'. For example, a number of Egyptologists at the beginning of the 20th Century insisted that the tomb of Tutankhamun simply didn't exist and it was folly to claim otherwise. Then it was discovered. It was exactly the same ten years ago, with some Historians & Archaeologists insisting that the remains of Richard III would never be recovered. Then they were.

We’ll just have to see I spose. Newcastle were sold for £300m to Saudi Arabia. Derby County are a significantly bigger Club than us, and I genuinely don’t know about Wigan’s situation.

I do take the point that the club probably has to be officially ‘up for sale’, but I still think if it were, we’d be towin’ to find anyone coming in with the money they’ll be after.

But yeah, a start would be going public in some way.

I guess it depends what they want for a club they haven’t paid for. I mean in terms of funding I could match their contribution

I reckon they’d be after £15m. I want em gone as much as anybody. I just look at who’s come forward since admin. Cryne. Doyle and PMG. It doesn’t fill me with confidence that’s there’s gonna be a flood of buyers stepping forward. I hope I’m wrong.

Can they even sell something they haven’t paid for?

Agreed at anything over a nominal amount I can’t see many takers for a L1 club that doesn’t own its own ground.

I honestly don’t know the legal and financial ins and outs. But I’m assuming they do own it. If they didn’t, I’m sure Woody’s Chippy would have been in with a hostile bid by now :)

I guess it depends if they lose the court case and if they then have the funds to finalise buying the club. I assume that the Cryne family could block any sale until the disputes over but can’t pretend I know owt about contract law.

Fk knows. I’ve gone on record enough times. I would genuinely prefer to have a Club I’m proud of, playing non-league, than this. It’s toxic.
