Despite a brave showing from crazy man Morais he has been edged into 4th place by the a man so inept it always amazed me that he managed to find the ground.

Step forward Nigel Spackman alongside Schopp and Poya you have been voted the cream of the crop but who will take the coveted trophy?

    The choice is yours.

Two from the same season what the hell have us Barnsley fans done wrong to be saddled with sloppy arsebaggage in the same season

Imagine a club so unlucky to have endured all three of these jabronis.

    Only at Barnsley FC.

I might be wrong but there`s a chance somebody has been worse than these three in 135 years.

Despite having the occasional flashback to the reign of Spackman I’m sticking with the original choice of Schopp.

    Good early start from ‘Spackers’.

Interesting. Yes, he was bad but in his January to October 2001 spell in charge he won 9 Championship (then Division 1) games - that's 50% more than Schopp and Asbaghi put together over this whole season!

It's still the selection by tombola man for me.

I'm going Poya over Schopp based on better availability of players, the benefit of the incoming loan signings, and having his choice of backroom staff available.

Both suffer from being in role during the season where overall club disfunctionality was the worst that I can remember, but both were appalling appointments.

    Nigel Spackman 35 games 1.06ppg
    Markus Schopp 16 games 0.5ppg
Poya Asbaghi 27 games 0.81 ppg

I never thought we would see worse than Spackman but then, just like buses, two come along at once. I’m going Schopp but the margin is small.

Come on Poya fans come on Schopp groupies your men need you.

This is how I see it too. There's only a gnats pube between all three but PA is definitely the worst of the trio.

Think that interview almost swayed me over to Ashbagi but I'm sticking with Spackman, he appeared to offer so much when he was appointed.

If memory serves me correctly he had a really good assistant at the Lane who was the power behind the throne and we might have been better heading in that direction rather than appointing Spackman. Sadly I can't remember who his assistant was.

    Spackman all day long.

More money to spend, a more traditional/old school recruitment model, and didn’t he just keep signing midfielders?

He set us back years. Where as Schopp and Poya just shouldn’t have been given the job. Their decisions haven’t set us back years, it’s mainly down to one person that things spiralled as they have.

I've got to go Poya. His first game in charge at Oakwell......home to Swansea....... 19% possession, with half of that kicking the ball in the air. The writing was on the wall early, but we didn't see it. Also 13 games to get his first win, with 9 defeats.

His tactics are inept, his substitutions are appalling. Then with 20 minutes to go in a must win game, whilst losing 2.0, refuses to bring on another striker as "he feels the away team will hit us on the break". Utterly, utterly clueless

I find it difficult to apportion too much blame to Schopp and Asbaghi for this season. They've both been a disaster, that's clear to see. But they've been given very little constructive help from those above them. Our squad has been paper thin for 2 seasons now, and I think we could have very easily been in this position last season. We got it right with the head coach last season, playing a style of football which, despite what we might all have thought, actually suited the side we had. We've then appointed 2 coaches who's style differs completely from that, and asked them to essentially reinvent the wheel. We also had a lot of good luck with injuries last season, which meant our squad always looked a healthy size. Again, both Markus and Poya have been plighted by that. Don't get me wrong, they've failed miserably in other areas too, but I think the book needs to stop with the people above them, as they've got us into this mess with a series of disastrous recruitment decisions.

It's clear Asbaghi still thinks we can stay up and by keeping it tight v Peterborough at 0-2 down he was protecting our goal difference.
