    Bear in mind the 8k was covid times so not bad at all considering. 1st season back in the championship we sold a good number over 10k but we also sold pinnock lindsay and moore at the same time and were lucky to survive in the end.

    Me too to be fair but you know as well as I do that if suddenly the owners put the club for sale or a new popular manager is set on or things change dramatically at the club then things can change over night , although all of these things are highly unlikely my point is that a lot can change in the space of a few months & that it is too early to accurately predict anything with certainty & yes I do believe in the tooth fairy !

    Fair point. But it's no more or less redundant than saying we'll miss an international defender.

    It's also worth reiterating the fact that we need the money more than we need anyone in the current squad, as some people on this board haven't yet grasped the size of the financial hole we'll have next season.

    The early bird deadline is in a matter of days, after which a £70 surcharge is levied on all season ticket purchases. I think that regardless of what transfer activity takes place in the coming months there will be very few people willing to pay the huge surcharge in the knowledge that it's a penalty fee for not buying quick enough. I think if you think sales could vastly alter after the early bird deadline passes then you're as realistic as Khaled and his 11,000 target.

    Obviously I'd want him to stay, but there's no way he will and we should definitely be able to replace him with a top L1-standard centre half.

    We already have his replacement liam kitching who we paid 600k for. Cant see us signing many top league 1 standard players.

    I'm guessing what you're saying is there's no way we'll shift 10k STs because everyone is skint?

    I don't believe that. I don't think we'll shift 10k. But I don't think it's because people are skint. I think it's because there's so much protest against the owners and people naturally drop off after relegation.

    If we'd done well this season we'd have shifted 10k

    If they’re daft enough to not extend the early bird I honestly think we might not even sell 5k.
    I don’t put anything past this lot, they care not one jot. Sad times….

    I was surprised that we didn’t sell Helik last summer.

    Now my fear is about how much we can get for him. Contract clauses might dictate that we can’t get much, if any more than the fee we paid for him. If that is the case, and similar applies to Morris, Collins, Andersen etc… then we’re in a fair bit of trouble

    Helik probably making it into my top 3 defenders since I've been watching BFC (mid 90's)

    Certainly top 5.

    He's gone and he's been brilliant. Just hope we get, say, £3.5 million for him rather than £500k + addons. We don't have much of a negotiation position with a monetary black hole to fill.

    I'll be wishing him well, even if he joins a Sheffield club.

    Ive watched since mid 90s my top 2 are de zeuw and then pinnock in 2nd. I like helik i also liked mawson, roberts and chris morgan (untill he joined blunts)

    I’d put Helik over Pinnock, mainly because he performed in the 2nd tier for us.
