I think Poya would too. He'd be delighted at the 3 goals scored, but a bit miffed at 3 goals conceded. But he'd take a point away from home at high-flying Hudds. Relegation would be a mere afterthought, an inconvenience in an otherwise successful debut season in the English leagues.

My take on Poya is he has a way of playing and a style that's clear for all to see. He hasn't got the tackle to play his style at Barnsley though. He's organised and methodical in his approach and will be a success at maybe a higher level.

He wasn't what was needed at the time though. I'd put him in the bracket of Struber. I wish him well because I can see what he was attempting and have always liked the guy.

I used to feel sorry for him and tried to understand his thinking, but i think he's delusional. His pressers (the ones I've listened to anyway) appear to be more about 'being right' in his decision -making in front of the local journo, rather than acknowledging our shortcomings. His fixation on limiting the goals conceded (rather than an emphasis on attacking football and scoring, when we desperately need goals) shows he hasn't really learned key lessons during his time here. And his slack-jawed approach from the sidelines, and laissez-faire attitude as we crawl towards relegation, has really started to grate on me.

I think he does care, and I'm sure he's a nice guy, but he's not the man for us, and I do think he's way out of his depth. I get what you're saying about his style of football and perhaps it would work better at a higher level, but good, savvy managers work with the tools at their disposal and adapt in order to be successful; Poya has proven - through either being stubborn, naive or both - that he doesn't really have the credentials to succeed at this level, at least in terms of being able to adapt and play to the team's strengths.

This poor manager will basically trot the same team out….Palmer and the rest. No chance of him changing the team, his tactics, …..same old, same old, with the same disastrous result we have seen time after time this season,. We are going to loose anyway , so why not be adventurous with his selections rather than starting off hoping to defend a nil nil draw.

Barnsley to win but Poya to admit relegation is a certainty in his post match presser.

It would be the ultimate post script to this wretched season if they were able to over-turn the November 1998 game we hold over them.

Given the respective records on set pieces this season all they'll need to do is get 7 corners too.
