    That side had some poor players, as we do now, but what it did have was a bit of experience injected into it with Scotland and harewood, and despite flitcrofts inabilities- he had the one ability we needed in that situation- the ability to galvanise and rally and inspire.

    the powers that be had the opportunity to do both of those things in January it seems but chose not to, leading to a completely different outcome

    Edited to say I was at Huddersfield that day and had been behind the team as I had believed we had a chance of stopping up, I couldn’t even be bothered to watch on tv last night - I’ve felt we’ve been relegated since before Christmas - nothing was done to attempt to prevent it.

    Down the years the away end at Hudds has nearly always been full when Barnsley played.
    Last night was a summary of this pathetic season.
    Your first photo ought to be put up on the wall for our dreadful owners to see how, even in adversity, the fans are always there.
    They should take note, but they won't.
