    And I see Hemsy is talking absolutely drivel again. Yesterday it was the fans fault. Now it's them who work on the coal face.

    Great club to work for right now…..really? Either you know something is happening in the background or you’re in complete denial at our plight. No one worth their salt will touch us with a barge pole.
    Take off the rose tinted specs, club is rotten from top to bottom.

    The club is appealing to those on the outside, when you are looking for a job you ignore the ills and focus on the positives you have faith in your abilities to change things.

    We will get lots of interest. We will be one of the bigger clubs in league one, players and managers will assume we are going to be there or there abouts when it comes to promotion.

    All that said there's a lot wrong too. It's why managers have turned us down after interviewing and looking properly at us.

    I'm in the positive camp of we will ve flirting with the playoffs, but it all depends on what happens in the summer and how we are able to balance the books.

    What concerns me Loko is that, from your recent comments, you seem to have decided that the whole responsibility for our current situation is Paul Conway and his mishandling of last summer and that the only problem is that we've been relegated.
    Relegation has become an occupational hazard of our position in the screwed up world of English football though not this season's as that is pure and simple down to disastrous mismanagement.
    However, you seem to have divorced the rest of the Board and the CEO from the problem. You keep hinting what a great guy the CEO is. He may be but I've yet to see any evidence he can successfully do his job. You keep suggesting that he's going to do a huge reset yet he can't affect the underlying issues of the neglect of the club not just by the dilettante Conway but also by Chien Lee and the rest. Squabbles, lies, court cases, lack of investment, a decaying ground. They are strangling the club and can't all be explained away by targeting Conway and neither can they be sorted out by the CEO who doesn't control the overall strategy, assuming there is one.
    You're entitled to your opinion and you have some good points but what really worries me is that, as part of the Supporters Trust, you think the malaise is down to just one man and therefore not that significant. The trend of doing things behind the scenes by the Supporters Trust means we don't see what is being done and leads to a concern that not much IS being done.
    A reset on the field over the summer and into next season isn't going to solve the underlying problems at BFC.

    Ok. I've slept on the whole "attractive place to work" thing.

    I still can't see where you're coming from, @Loko the Tyke .

    The more I think about it, the more bonkers that statement is sounding. You're honestly not looking at our situation with any kind of objectivity, it just feels like you're trying to gaslight us all into accepting our only problems are one summer of Conway and Covid.

    A step up is different to a good place to work at though.
    I have no doubt the club will point to the opportunities Struber, Val and even Stendel were given as a result of coming here and rightly so.
    That doesn’t explain the exodus of staff in recent times who have chosen to leave, in any normal working environment that is nearly always explained by working conditions(treated, atmosphere etc).
    As the majority of this happened towards end of Dane’s tenure, perhaps he was the issue, I don’t know.

    But the result and display last night has no bearing on next season whatsoever, unless we change absolutely nothing over the summer.

    These aren’t rose tinted specs at all and I don’t know anything you don’t. You’re basing this on us losing football matches.

    An unemployed football coach, or someone working levels below us, would not be avoiding us as a place to work.

    I’ll bow out here because comments like that aren’t going to lead to honest discussion. You’re still not viewing the situation as an outsider who won’t care about the majority of the issues we care about and will only look at the potential for their career and the football club.

    Probably so, but would that not add to the atmosphere/working conditions?

    im just really trying to say I agree with Loko that it will be a good opportunity for someone but doesn’t mean it’s a good place to work.

    Pilkington and Sedgwick were the only two that left separately to following their bosses at the time to a massive promotion.

    That’s pretty common given Tonge followed Stendel and Murray has followed Val. I don’t think it proves that Oakwell is some horrible place to work? There was an exodus but 60% of it driven by the Head Coach taking his salary from £400k a year to £2m a year (c. figures to that affect)

    Oh aye, we'll probably be attractive to someone totally unsuited to the job (a la Schopp & Poya) who comes cheap.
    Any decent coach with a good track record wouldn't be interested though, especially given the working constraints.

    Again, disagree. The constraints aren’t really there without Paul Conway in charge and no different to when Val, Stendel or Struber took the job.

    The challenge is far greater though.
